Continuing the A to Z challenge: Finding interesting new ways to enjoy photography

Baby Ross, three days old, isn’t he just too precious — Photo by JoAnn Ryan

Welcome to a new week filled with the promise, beauty and hope of life. Babies and children give me hope for the world, don’t know ‘bout you?

Already I’m loving this photo challenge. A big thank you to all who have joined in. So amazing to see your photos and read about your life experiences lived through them. Love it!

In this often dark world, it’s essential to have some acute positivity sometimes — like a jolt to the heart.

Here is my ‘B’ offering and further below I’ve listed all the ‘A’ stories submitted so far.

It’s not too late to join in the fun. Feel free to start with your ‘A’ story at anytime.

Babies

The first photo above is of my grandbaby. He’s over a year old now, but this was taken when he was just a few days old. My how time flies. This is the definition of bittersweet.

These next photos are of baby animals. The baby alligator was taken at the Los Angeles Zoo and the baby bear at Yellowstone Park in Wyoming.

Bougainvillea

One of my favorite flowers. Believe it or don’t, but this is my most viewed story with 3.4k views thus far.

Wowie. I suppose you could call that semi-viral. Makes up for all the stories I’ve written that have fallen flat 🫓😆:

Banana cream pie

Another of my old foodie photo “experiments” where I was dreaming I was the next Martha Stewart, just like with the apple and avocados in my ‘A’ story.

Honey Bear

This is a photo previously submitted to Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles prompt at Six Word Photo Story Challenge. Isn’t this honey bear a cutie!

Berry vinaigrette salad

Previously I had written about this delicious berry salad for our foodie challenge on Globetrotters in the month of September:

“To make this salad I crush up some raspberries, strawberries and blueberries and added some salad vinegar. I drizzle this over some fresh green leaf lettuce and feta cheese crumbles. Yum! And healthy!”

Bonus: Bodacious Bodi

I wrote about this tasty member of the green bean family for Sharing Food, a stupendous pub by fellow Globetrotters editor Jillian Amatt:

Here is my first ‘A’ post:

And here are the writers who have contributed their ‘A’ posts so far.

Check out Jerry Dwyer’s awesome photos of his lovely family as well as several ‘A’ cities:

If you haven’t yet checked out the wonderful writing of arun you really need to. You will be glad you did.

Allisonn Church wrote a beautiful story about appreciating spiders… for real… and as a bonus she also wrote this story as well “S is for Slug. Slime and snails and things that leave trails”. Love it!:

Fellow Globetrotters editor Adrienne Beaumont wrote about the ‘A’ places she’s visited in Spain:

Steffany Ritchie writes about several beautiful ‘A’ places to visit in Florida, Scotland and the Netherlands:

Another newer writer you must check out is Stephanie Tolk. She has been doing well here on Medium so far and there is good reason for that. What a fab writer.

Always love reading Nella DiCarlo’s stories, like this one about Andalusia in Spain:

Appreciation and awe for Dr. Preeti Singh, who writes with beauty and love:

Check out these awesome posts and feel free to join in with your ‘A’ story at any time. There is no end date as this is an ongoing challenge.
