worshipping the god of science or the god of politics. They cast their lot on science and on politics as if those aren’t run by mere men. Atheists say they are not religious, but they are the most religious of them all and they don’t even know it. Atheists have also played a huge role in the struggles of the planet and it’s not always obvious. They are riling us all up and it does nothing to help the planet and only contributes to the destruction. Some atheists are so busy trying to convince the world that God is not real so they themselves can play God. As humans, we’re merely flesh and blood. We’re not gods. Disconnecting from God and trying to be a god is an obsession with God. Think about it. It’s like the branch that falls off the vine when doubt and confusion arrive and then tries to grow itself to become a vine with no deep roots. It’s impossible and so it lies on the ground and withers.

No matter what you think is real and what’s not, you have something higher than yourself to submit to. If you swear that there’s no higher power; that God isn’t real and therefore hell isn’t real, there’s absolutely no need to get so offended to the point where fumes are coming out of your ears when someone talks about hell. It should all be funny to you and not something to want to fight and debate till dawn. Sure, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a healthy debate about whether God and hell are real since none of us have seen God or been to hell and back, but these debates are silly if you ask me. Why argue? We will find the truth soon enough.

Whatever you believe is. If you believe there’s a God, then you have a God on your side. If you believe there is no God, then you have no God!

I can’t prove to any atheist the existence of God and they will try, but they can’t prove to me that God doesn’t exist either. We both can’t prove anything while we have breath running in and out of our nostrils. I can’t disprove the existence of unicorns because I know nothing at all. You can’t stop anyone from believing what they believe because people believe what makes sense to them. The only way to know for sure if God is real or fiction is when we’re dead and we will soon find out. So relax. There’s no need to get so mad. Leave people to believe what they want and you keep doing your thing.

As an atheist, you have the right to your freedom from God and others also have the right to their freedom to believe in God. To shame and try to discourage a person regarding their beliefs is one of the brutal things you could do. For most people, God is a source of strength. God being alive gives them hope. Taking away the object of a person’s hope could take away their desire to keep on living. For me personally, if God is dead, not real, or never existed, then I’m fucked!

Many wise atheists understand the benefits of religion and the consequences of its absence. Since the beginning of time, humans have always looked up to something to give us meaning. The idea that there is no God will have many negative consequences that may not have been thought of. People need something to hold on to that helps them live morally upright and ethically correct lives. For many, it is the existence of God that motivates them to do good. If there is no God, then people can do whatever the hell they want and not worry about spiritual consequences. Think about that too. If God is not real, then those who commit atrocious and evil crimes would have nothing to fear. Evil would prevail and gain power. Without God, many would lose their way, or could that be the plan?

Listen, whatever you believe is. If you believe there’s a God, then you have a God on your side. If you believe there is no God, then you have no God. But regardless of what you believe, we have to respect other people’s beliefs. Perhaps it would be more beneficial to all of us to quit arguing about the existence of God and actually focus on helping the planet which is on the verge of collapsing.

The Weeds Amongst The Good Seed

This may come as a surprise to many Christians, but Jesus did not concern himself with the politics of his day. Even though he had a strong interest in government, taught his followers to respect authorities, and advocated for justice and fairness, he was not involved in the politics of it. It is not recorded anywhere in the bible. Politics has become a religion all on its own, but Christ isn't responsible for their actions. His true followers do not concern themselves with politics and they don't use scripture to control other people.

It’s like a man who picked the best seeds out of the lot and planted them. But while the day was over, his enemy came and planted weeds among the seeds. The seeds grew and so did the weeds. The sower didn’t remove the weeds because doing so would also uproot some good crops. He let them all grow together until the harvest. He tells the harvesters to collect the weeds and put them in bundles and then the crops from the good seeds and put them in the barn. The weeds are thrown into the fire.

As a Christian, the moment you try to merge Christianity and politics by quoting scripture to support your political beliefs is the moment you fail Christ. Now your religion isn't Christianity, it's a new religion called politics. Political violence and abuse are happening more and more on the planet each day because people in this religion attack when they can’t agree with their opponents.

Christ has nothing to do with politics. Not that you can’t have an interest in politics. You can, but you have to separate the two or your perceptions will be influenced by politics rather than Jesus’ teaching. A Christian who merges politics with Christianity and uses scripture to support or not to support their political policies is corrupt in their thinking. He’s a weed among good seeds.

But in light of the abortion debate and the decision to force women to have children, even if doing so would kill them, I may have to talk about it and see if I can shed some light. First of all, Jesus never spoke of abortions. It’s not recorded anywhere in scripture that Jesus is for or against it. Certain Christians often quote specific verses to justify their stand and make their case based on a conclusion they've already reached that abortion is murder, but none of those verses speak specifically of a fetus. Not one. Stand on your decision all on your own, but any attempt to use scripture to stand on your decision is twisting the words of Christ. Jesus didn’t speak so we could later use his words as manipulation to win arguments.

It’s like yeast. Just as yeast permeates the ingredients that affect bread making, the religious and political leaders and the experts of the law create additional laws that are difficult to follow and pervasive as yeast in a loaf of bread and not to mention overbearing.

I have a daughter and being a mother is rewarding, sure, sure, but it is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Some days, I don't really know how I feel about it and that's the truth. Parenthood is not for everybody. Forcing people to become mothers and fathers when they don’t want it does everyone involved more harm than good. It hurts the adults who are forced to deal with a child they never planned to have and hurts a child to deal with a parent who didn't want him or her. And besides, look at the state of the world. It's like hell on earth, so why must you force people to bring children into a place like this? Why must you force them and then blame them if they fall short?

Beware of the yeast and of the many false influences in today’s world. Once a bit of yeast is introduced, it spreads very quickly. We must not follow teachings that are built on man’s earthly preferences of fear and control.

Most men believe women are objects to be controlled. Women are not objects and must be given the right to make this decision. It is their bodies, after all. And it takes two to tango, so why are women being blamed and shamed when pregnancy occurs when most of the time, it is the irresponsible men who trick or force women into having unprotected sex? Yes, it is! These men make additional laws for the people to follow and they themselves do not follow them. They don't do what is required of them. It is men who come into the bedroom always seeming to forget to buy a condom, knowing very well they intend to have sex one way or another! It is men who slip the condom off mid-sex with the woman, knowing nothing about it. It is the man who ejaculates into the woman when he’s supposed to pull out and when asked about it, instead of telling the truth so the woman can think of a Plan B, lie about it without a care in the world. It is the man and his irresponsible ejaculation that causes pregnancy, so why must the woman suffer the consequences? Yeah. You thought right. The woman suffers because it’s her body. Not the man’s body. Not the government's body and definitely not Christians! And if we disagree, let's ask ourselves, “What would Jesus do?”

If Jesus was here, he would tell us to watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees. He wouldn’t force anyone to do or not to do anything. He would let people do what they need to do, love them anyway, and warn them to be careful so something worse doesn't happen to them. And something worse can happen. There are nasty STDs to be caught, some of which will always stay with you forever. And sex is not as physical as many see it. Sex is a spiritual act. Not only sticky bodily fluids and nasty diseases are transferred, but energy is also transferred and it stays. You don't always know the kind of spirit and, therefore, the type of energy that lives in the person you have sex with. There are demons inhabiting the bodies of men. Have sex with a demon and you are doomed. And let’s not forget about soul ties and how incredibly difficult they are to break. I grew up as a Pentecostal Christian and went to church every Sunday. I enjoyed it as a kid, but I stopped going. One day, I woke up and found that there was more to life than I was told, so I decided I would go my own way and find my own truths. I’m a rebel against religion. I stopped going to church not because I hate it, but because I no longer need it. I crave a more personal relationship with God. I respect those who go, but I won’t go. I no longer call myself Christian, not because I hate Christianity, but because I don't seek to follow man. I’ve become an outcast who aims to be christ-like and hopes to learn from him. Jesus was one hell of a spiritual teacher.

I’m spiritual but not religious and I write for a publication called Mystic Minds, where we talk about everything — God, Spirit, the universe, soul, love, astrology, tarot, and even mythology. Many are fascinated that I write for such a publication and still love and acknowledge God. Many people, the moment they have a spiritual awakening, feel like they have to cut God out of their life. They become embarrassed by the name and so use terms like the universe, Source, angels, spirit guides, ancestors, higher power, etc. to represent God. They play it safe so they don’t upset anybody and I did too at the beginning of my journey, but I reached a point where I refused to do that.

It’s like the prodigal child who leaves her father’s house with her newly opened third eye and newfound spiritual wisdom. She thinks she knows it all and has no need for her father. She grabs all she has and sets off for a distant country away from his father’s house to do it on her own. In the distant land, she squanders everything she took, including her knowledge. Her third eye shows her the forces that battle against her and she realizes she needs her father. She returns and her father receives her with open arms. I left God’s house, realized I was lost, and knew nothing at all, and I came back home.

I know exactly who created the universe, what the source energy is, and the higher power that holds it all together. I know the one who created all the angels, the spirit guides, and the ancestors. When something has a name, why call it anything else? Will you run into Steve Jobs and call him Apple just because he created it?

People are fascinated that I call myself spiritual and acknowledge God. For many other people, the term spiritual has negative connotations because of the kind of horror that is shown on TV, so evil is associated with the term, but the term spiritual is actually biblical. It is used in 7 books in the Bible and mentioned 23 times. I once had a Christian tell me to repent of my sins — which she meant my spirituality — in an Instagram post where I talked about sins. I doubt she ever reads her bible.

God and his angels are spirits and therefore spiritual. Sure, the devil and his demons are also spirits and therefore also spiritual too, and that's normal. It's the same way there are true prophets and false prophets, true teachers and false teachers, conscious Christians and corrupt Christians, good humans and evil humans. We can’t declare all prophets and teachers as false because there are false ones. We would be wrong to say all Christians are bad because there are so many corrupt Christians. And we can't say all humans are evil because of the evil people out there doing evil things. It's the same thing. Declaring all spiritual people as evil is not only wrong, it's dangerous teaching and I'm seeing so many Christian preachers and teachers spreading this kind of false information. It's getting many spiritual people riled up to be seen as evil for refusing to follow the crowd. This kind of false teaching puts all spiritual people into the evil category when that's not always the case. Truly spiritual people are godly. They believe in divinity or something higher than themselves because they are smarter than a fool who believes in nothing.

The Spirit of God makes up the spirit in my spirituality. I don't believe in a preacher or a church. I believe in God, the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Despite today’s discussions on feminism and gender roles, I call God my father, and that will never change. To me, God has always been my father. I really would be out of my mind to refer to God as “it” and I won’t start calling God “she” or mother to please you or anyone else, but this doesn’t mean you can’t. If God has always been a mother figure to you, you can use the pronoun she and that should be okay and I doubt that God will mind.

God created both man and woman in his own image and likeness, but God isn’t human and he transcends human limitations. He’s spirit and can therefore take whatever form he chooses. He’s everywhere and nowhere at the same time. He’s everything and nothing at all. God can be a man. God can be a woman. God can be an animal. God can be wind. God can be fire. God is the earth. God is water. God can be a tree. God can be a mountain. God can be a cloud, a refuge, a fortress, or a rock. Just as a man wouldn’t like to be called “she” or a woman “he,” I choose to honor God by calling him what he revealed himself as.

I’ve found that the people who hate the idea of God as a man and get so unnecessarily riled up are those who have had bad experiences with human men and I’m sorry for the evil that man has done but you have to remember that God isn’t your earthly father and you should not take the faults of your fathers and forefathers out on God. He played no parts in it. Instead, you must work on your childhood issues and heal your core wounds so you're not triggered and reminded of your pain when someone calls God “father.” Triggers point you to the things you need to heal.

And, to the one who thinks God is not real, or that he doesn’t exist, or that God is dead, God is nothing to them and nowhere to be found by them. But it really isn’t about what God is. It’s about who God is. God is spirit and so if you truly want to experience God, you must create space for the spirit of God to reveal himself to you in a way that will benefit your faith, and however you choose to see and seek God, you must do so in spirit and in truth.

IX. The Ones Who See Signs in the Stars

Speaking of truths, many people ask me why I allow people to write tarot and astrology articles in my publication if I believe in God. They ask, “Isn't God against divination?” Christians warn us to avoid those who consider themselves spiritual and are into astrology, tarot, crystals, marijuana, and other plant medicine because it's all evil things. This gets many people riled up.

Jesus never spoke on divination. Christians will quote a thousand verses, but Christ never spoke about it. If it was evil, he would have told a parable or two about it. But Jesus did say there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, so why call those who go looking for these signs evil? How does reading a horoscope get you into hell? The magi followed the star in the east. He wasn’t thought of as evil. It is written, “Do not let anyone judge you regarding a new moon celebration.” Why judge a person who finds meaning in a new moon? Judge a person and you will be judged.

If God was truly against divination, then there would be more information, you know, like solid reasons in the Bible on why divination is evil, but there are only random shallow verses here and there sparingly mentioning divination and my intuition tells me something very fishy has happened with the Bible. This riles me up very much, but that's a topic for another story. Anybody who learns and masters themselves becomes way too powerful and sovereign to be controlled, and that's exactly what astrology and tarot do. So put it in the Bible telling the people it's evil and take away their power.

And besides, somewhere in the book of Genesis, it was mentioned twice or thrice that Joseph dabbled in divination, but he still found favor in the eyes of God. If divination was indeed evil like the Bible makes it look, why didn't God convict Joseph of his sins and instead made him crazy successful? Think about it. The word divination has the word divine in it. Divine means of or like God. Synonyms include godly, godlike, angelic, and spiritual, so how then could it be evil? Not all divination is evil or occult. I don't even believe the word occult is evil because it simply means “what's hidden or not revealed.” Is everything hidden evil? Not now, but someday we will find the truth.

Until then I allow writers to write about astrology and Tarot. Jesus drew sinners close to him and this is not to say astrology and tarot are sins. No. God checks the heart and knows our true thoughts. So I let God be the judge. I, personally, no longer write about astrology or listen to tarot readings on YouTube as much as I used to, not because I think it's bad, but because I no longer need it, just like how I no longer need the church to experience God. Whatever guidance I need comes directly from God. But be careful when dabbling in these things. Tarot and astrology can help you to get to learn and master yourself, but still, they must be pursued with wisdom and discernment or you'll fall flat on your face thinking you know it all.

X. The Ones Fascinated by The Stones

A lot of people are fascinated with crystals. They are such beautiful objects, but of course, they will be. They were created by God. Many regard them as possessing mystical powers that can be used for spiritual growth and healing purposes. Some believe they can bring about positive transformations in life. And I agree.

Somewhere in Revelations, it is written “It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.”

So my question is, “Why is God decorating heaven with crystals if they are evil?” How did it become evil in the eyes of Christians? I can say why. Because crystals hold such great power, the dark forces also use them to bring about evil on the earth. But just because everybody — good and evil — wants to reap its benefits doesn't mean that crystals are evil, and it doesn't mean that everybody uses them for evil. Calling everybody who uses a crystal to clear the negative energy they've absorbed or to serve as protection against unwanted vibes is crazy. Plants have healing properties, but we don't consider plants evil, so why look at a crystal that God has created and grows from the earth just as plants do and think they are evil because of its power? Make it make sense. Please! It gets so many people riled up and it's uncalled for. Let people live their lives and stop judgment.

Nothing God created is evil. It’s people who use them for evil. If you use your crystals for good, then it is good. If you use it for evil, then it is evil. It’s as simple as that. For me, I use my crystals to decorate my home the way God uses them to decorate the heavens. And whether your crystals work depends on you.

XI. The Ones On High Vibration

Many Christians will tell you that using cannabis or what is commonly known as weed is a sin, and I don’t understand it. They say your body is a temple and God apparently dislikes a plant that he’s created. Huh? The Bible never mentioned marijuana, so how did Christians arrive at this conclusion? There are many unrelated bible verses Christians will cite to support their claims that weed is bad, but weed and other plant medicines were created by God and everything God created is good if it is accepted with thanksgiving.

Marijuana isn’t bad or a sin. It’s a plant created by God. And people are always worried about unimportant things. It is not what goes inside your body that defiles you. It’s actually what comes out of your mouth, so careful what you say. It’s kind of like Job and his three friends who had so much to say only for God to enter the conversation and remind them to calm down because they know nothing at all. You shouldn't always have to say something when you see something. Sometimes walk away because it's none of your business.

It’s the ego that spots and points out people’s sins and shortcomings and gets you into trouble with God and others. Ego belongs in the backseat.

I’ve smoked weed before to answer the question, and I’m truly thankful to God for creating it. It's genius. I mean, plant medicine has been around since the beginning of life and there was nothing wrong with them until people started abusing them. That doesn't mean the plant is bad. I see nothing wrong with smoking a microdose of weed to get your creative juices flowing. It relieves my headaches and soothes my eye pain. It makes me creative as I don't know what and helps me unwind after a long day. But still, like everything else, it must be used mindfully. For me, it's puff puff no pass because I’m done and it won't be passed back to me. I don't need much. Too much of it becomes bad for me. You need certain willpower. You need self-control to intend that you only need a dose for a shift in consciousness, and that's it.

You can only truly know the true purpose of something if you don't abuse or misuse it. Plants are sacred. You can’t abuse a plant and expect it to serve you. Abuse and misuse a plant, and it will refuse and retaliate against you. And don't overuse the plant. That's as stupid as eating and drinking to the point you can't even move. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Be sober-minded and watchful.

XII. The Children of God

Be watchful indeed. There’s a battle amongst the powers in the heavenly realm, so that means spiritual warfare. The battle is not against skin and bones. Flesh and blood we could slay and defeat, but powers and principalities we can’t see. And just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it’s not there. It’s happening.

Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilence in various places. Nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint in terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken and the earth will feel it. We are all feeling it. If you feel a bit shaken, it’s a collective thing, and this is what you could do.

Brace yourself. The storm is coming, and it comes with mighty winds that sweep things off their feet. It can blow you away. You’ve got to be strong. You’ve got to stand your ground or a windy sandstorm will blow your mind, sending little pieces of sand and speck flowing into your eyes. The veil is created so you can’t see beyond what your eyes can see. When you’re getting tossed by the wind, what do you hold on to? When you’re lost at sea, what do you grab on to? You hold on to the messenger bird who swoops in and grabs you out of the storm. You hold on to the rock in the middle of the sea. How do you get out of a windstorm and roaring seas if you have nothing to hold on to? You need something to hold on to so you don’t drown. You shake all night when the waves bring a cold breeze, but you hold on to a rock that never shakes.

We’re in this storm together, but we can get through it. You must be prepared at all times for whatever is coming and it’s coming. Put on full battle armor and boots to trample serpents and scorpions when they come at you and stand strong so you’re not shaken when heaven shakes. Don’t leave behind your belt of truth so that with that on you, you are not easily deceived. Have your breastplate of righteousness securely in place and do the right things and no wrongs. If you’re a believer, take up your shield of faith to block the flaming arrows of the devil because certain crookedness has entered the earth. Understand that Christianity is going to get harder. Hold on tight to your shield of faith even if it’s as little as a mustard seed. You must have your sword of the spirit. Without it, would drop dead. How would you fight against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of a very dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in very high places? Guard your heart because everything you do flows from it. The door to your mind must always be locked, so nothing enters as you sleep. And when you wake up, do what you can to help save the planet.

We’re in this mess together and we can’t clean it up if we're fighting one another. A planet that is divided amongst itself will not stand. A house divided against itself will not stand. We must fight together against a common enemy. We haven’t done so in the past, but we can start doing better.

I could be so wrong in all this because I’m a flawed, sinful, and imperfect human being. I know many of you will be happy to point that out to me because you can’t help it. While you don’t have to agree with everything I’ve said, you will show respect. I'm sure many of you would be blindly wrong too, but I won't point it out. I don't have the need to because I have my own wrong things to look at. So regardless of your beliefs, I can show you love and respect and you try and do the same for me and others.

Respect, mindfulness, and discernment, with lots of positive energy, will help raise the vibration of the earth. Being respectful of other people and their beliefs, being mindful of the way we relate with others concerning their beliefs and using discernment to discern what could be true and what is false, and asking for wisdom in choosing what to believe will help us all live a peaceful life. Peace is an asset.

Blessed are the peacemakers. You can choose to be peaceful where you would fight, argue, attack, criticize, condemn, shame, disrespect, belittle, or mock another for their beliefs. The earth is tired of the constant arguments. We all are, and so we must give up that need to be right. It's a tactic to bring chaos and discord, but you can learn to spot the trick and the tactics of the enemy. Pay close attention to the things that catch your attention. Stay alert and keep your eyes open, for you don't know what time of the night the thief will come.

Life under the dominion of the enemy, with scales hanging over the eyes doesn’t have to continue. To conquer the darkness, you only have to flick the light switch once. You only need to remove the scales and you will see. You will see that truth, light, and love are the foundation for a better life. If you've got an inner light that shines so brightly, don't light it and put it under the table. Put it out so it can shine for others to see. If you’ve got an abundance of love to give, give and give it generously. Give it to the earth. Walk barefoot and let the earth absorb some love from you. She needs it. And the people. We can use more love. If you’ve got anything that feels like peace, joy, kindness, gentleness, or happiness, you have an asset and with it; you are so blessed you can actually make a difference just by vibrating higher. 💚

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God — Matthew 5:9.

The Things That’re Getting Us Riled Up
It’s a fight but it’s not against skin and bones
Flesh and blood we could slay, but powers and principalities? (Photo: Iván Tamás)
There’s so much making the world feel unsettled, uncomfortable, and uneasy. If you feel kind of shitty right now, it’s not just you. It’s a collective thing. We’re in this mess together. I’ll try to keep the heavy things as light as a feather.
I don’t assume you will read this very long article in one sitting, but you should if you have time. This is a very important message. Use the table of contents to scroll to what interests you. Use the audio button to listen through your headphones as you're out and about. Read this as if you’re about to read something that will truly resonate with your spirit or something you will totally disagree with and it's okay. These are only my ideas, thoughts, and beliefs, so don’t take them personally. You’ll be respectful and understanding. The anger, the rage, the conflict, and the strife are all so exhausting right now, and most of us are already exhausted, so be mindful in your disagreements. If you’ve got an abundance of negative energy, keep it.
The world is going crazy. There’s a battle going on and it’s not at all physical. The consciousness of the planet is falling, and people are losing bits and pieces of their minds. Meaningless. Meaningless. Everything seems meaningless. You don’t know what’s really happening. The news is going crazy telling us that which is far from the truth. Maybe, like me, you see through the illusions and the delusions. You say “I’m not falling for this” and you turn off the TV and never turn it back on to listen to another false news. You find peace of mind, but then you have no idea what’s going on in the world. Everything is just really weird like something is coming, but you don’t know what and when.
The truth is that our planet is collapsing. Earth is falling. Our mother Gaia, the one who has given us life and sustained us since the beginning of time, is going down. After receiving and processing so much of our fearful, defeating, beaten down, weary energy and vibes, she’s feeling it. Whatever boost in energy you feel as you read this, direct some of it out to the planet. It's important because this is your home. Send love and peace to the earth. Leave a comment to inspire someone. Raise your vibration and send pure joy flowing with the wind. Send kindness along with the moving clouds and bring goodness with everything you touch. Walk barefoot on the earth and breathe out pure love from the depths of your lungs. Send positive energy to the planet and if you don’t feel like any of those good things, which will be many of us, just try. I promise you that you’re helping. If you don't help, we're all in big trouble.
The thing is, we haven’t all done the good and the right things. We are all guilty to a certain extent of the collapse of the planet. We’ve all contributed to the destruction, some in action and others in thought, and most of us in vibration. Many of us feel down and it’s bringing the planet down. Others are making and bringing people down, and it’s where we will start the conversation. We will start with religion, which has become a thorn in our flesh.
If you feel kind of shitty right now, it’s not just you. It’s a collective thing. We’re in this mess together.
II. The Thorns in The Flesh
Religion has contributed to much of the chaos and destruction all in the name of God, science, politics, and the insistence on the absence of God. Yes. All of those things have become modern-day religion. God is good and so if you invoke his name, you must be and do good, but certain Christians have been doing the opposite of good. These Christians have become corrupt in their thinking and lost in their ways. They've become the lost sheep who the shepherd must go searching for, but they don't know that. They don't know they're separated from the shepherd. They’ve become thorns in the flesh that God refuses to take away because, in their weakness, we find the truth.
These corruptChristians are wreaking havoc and causing division on the planet. They are trying to help us get into heaven by dragging us through hell first. They’ve injected hate, injustice, fear, anger, and disunity into the world. They are in support of war, division, and strife in the nation, while Jesus preached peace. These are nothing like Christ and he has nothing to do with their behavior. Careful not to blame Christ for their actions. He doesn't know those people!
Jesus didn’t start any religion. Religion is man-made and built on deception. Its primary goal is to prevent people from experiencing God for themselves. It presents us with a dead version to keep people from experiencing the real thing. Its other goal is to control the masses, but there’s a new earth being created and so much will fall away. Anything built on deception will not stand.
Religion has become a problem, but it isn't the real enemy. The enemy isn’t the people standing in front of us and our battle isn’t against skin and bones. Flesh and blood we could slay, but powers and principalities in the spiritual realm, we can’t see and can’t fight on our own. The real enemy is the god of this world — the devil — and he’s smarter than you think. Or what? Did you think the devil or Satan and his demons do not exist and are not involved in our problems? Think again.
Nothing is as it seems.
In his rebellion against God, the devil seeks to destroy anyone who seeks to follow God, but he won’t come to you with a red and distorted face. He uses the faces of your friends and family. In a world where so many forces are against God, the enemy would rather send out his demons pretending to be Christians to inject hate, anger, and disunity and then blame it all on God’s people. But Jesus knew this day would come. He forewarned us.
Watch for the false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. Beware of the teachers of the law and the false leaders of the church. They like to walk around in their fancy suits and shiny designer purses and be greeted with respect in their churches. They pray lengthy prayers where they will be seen and shout on top of their voices to be heard, but they devour the souls of men. They judge people as if they are gods. They walk around with massive planks in their eyes and go around looking to remove the tiny specks from other people’s eyes. They’re hypocrites and will be punished most severely. And don’t let their constant mention of the Lord’s name fool you. Not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Truly, I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of these corrupt Christians.
The people standing in front of us are not our enemy. The battle is not against skin and bones. Our enemy is the god of this world — the devil. Flesh and blood we could fight, but powers we can’t fight unless we know our own power.
III. The Taker of The Seeds Along The Path
There’s no one busier than the devil and he’s always looking for someone to kill, something to steal or destroy, and an empty mind to corrupt. He’s always looking for the next person to tempt, and he will tempt each and every one of us. Abraham was tempted to see if he’d be willing to sacrifice his one and only son. Job lost it all and was tempted to see if he’d curse God. Joseph was tempted by his master’s wife for his good looks. Daniel was threatened to be thrown into the lions’ den if he prayed to God one more time. The devil has no limits. He even tempted God’s own son, and he’s going to tempt each one of us. When you’re tempted, do not say God is tempting you, for God tempts no one! He allows the devil to tempt you because he says you would never and the devil swears you will fail and curse at God at the slightest discomfort. Men are tempted when they are enticed and dragged away by evil desire.
Corrupt Christians are of their father the devil, and their will is to do their father’s desires. There is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character. He is a liar and the father of lies and so there is no truth in him and no truth in anyone he uses. The devil is not only a trickster and a liar, he’s also very slick! He slithers his way into the minds of good people and corrupts them with false truths and empty promises, so when they act out, we can point the finger at Christians and ultimately curse God. You need to open your spiritual eyes to see what I'm talking about.
It’s like the seed that falls along the path where it is sown, but it is in plain sight, and so the devil comes and takes it away. Corrupt Christians are like seeds along the path, where the word of God is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes it away and so they don't know the words.
Jesus encouraged us to love others, but corrupt Christians can only love you if you come to church and do as they say. Jesus loved and walked with sinners while corrupt Christians hate sinners and will gladly give them a vivid detail of hell and then condemn them there for all of eternity. They find pleasure in throwing Bible verses at their victims to prove their point, but they are not followers of Christ. They follow something, but it isn’t Christ. Their hearts are getting farther and farther away from the teachings of Christ. They don’t do what Christ has told them to do. Their lips say “Lord, Lord” but their hearts are far from the Lord. They twist the words of Christ to support their bigoted claims about many world issues.
The church has become a battleground. Pray for those who go. Many have become victims of warfare. Their souls are in bondage and their bodies have been taken hostage of and used against their will.
There are many rotten apples, but we can’t throw the very few good ones away with the bad. There are a lot of corrupt Christians, but there are also some really good Christians who do exactly what Christ tells them. These are the Christians you hear little from because they don’t own microphones to shout repent from the streets. Our job is to tell the difference between a conscious Christian and one who is corrupt and not treat them all the same.
By their fruit, you will recognize them. A good tree never bears bad fruit. If the fruit is bad, so is the tree and must be cut down! If the Christian in your life is judging, attacking, shaming, condemning, and convicting you of what they perceive to be a sin, that’s rotten fruit.
A corrupt Christian sees you and immediately sees your sins. A conscious Christian sees you and immediately sees your heart. A corrupt Christian attacks, judges, and criticizes you first. A conscious Christian loves you first. A corrupt Christian condemns you and tells you they’re doing it out of love. A conscious Christian shows you the love that Christ showed. A corrupt Christian throws bible verses at you to condemn you. A conscious Christian lives out a Bible verse to teach you. A corrupt Christian yells at you to repent and threatens you with hell if you don’t listen to them. A conscious Christian rarely brings up hell but tells you how Christ saved them only if you will listen. A corrupt Christian talks down on you and your lifestyle. A conscious Christian accepts you and shows you their lifestyle.
There are many rotten apples in the basket, but we can’t throw the very few good ones away with the bad.
As a Christian, your job isn’t to convict anyone of sin. That’s the holy Spirit's job. It’s not your opinions or your criticism that leads men to repentance. It’s not pointing out the sin or what you perceive to be sin in others that leads to repentance. It’s simply pointing to Christ and if a person refuses to listen, shaking the dust off your feet and leaving them alone. It isn't your job to drag people before God. You have the freedom to believe in God, but that does not equate to the freedom to rule others.
Many are obsessed with ruling the world and trying to come up with a guide for all people to live by, but even God wasn’t a God of all people. He has his own people. He isn’t desperate for people to worship him. Even if there was no one left on the earth to worship God, the stones on the pavement would cry out. The mountains and hills would burst into song and the trees of the field would clap their hands. The stars were made to worship and so will many people willingly, so there’s no need to force people to go to God. You won't have to shove God down people’s throats. And besides, no one can go to Christ unless the Father has called and enabled them. So for many atheists and the others who refuse to listen to you, God simply hasn’t called them. Just like the apostle Paul, if God wants to call a God-cursing, Christian killing, religion-hating person, he would. Sure, spread the gospel as Jesus told you, but don’t be aggressive with it. It annoys people and pushes them away from God. It riles us all up.
A certain crookedness has entered the earth and so Christianity is going to get harder, but Jesus forewarned you. If you want an easy life, don’t follow Christ. A servant is not greater than his master. If the world hates you, it hated Christ first. It wasn’t easy then. It won’t be easy now.
IV. The Branches Off The Vine
Some of the most moral and good-hearted people I know are atheists, agnostics, or subscribe to a different religion than Christianity. They have made their decision that God can’t be real and go about their life without the need to prove or disprove anything to anyone. And I can understand where they are coming from. It’s truly hard to believe in a God who seems to be distant and absent when you need him. When important prayers go unanswered, it’s discouraging. It’s hard to have faith when you stood by and watched everything fall apart. It’s truly hard to comprehend a God who sits back and allows the devil to bring evil into the world. It’s tough and I get it.
Atheism is the strong, sometimes obsessive belief that there is no God, and that’s okay. As an atheist, you are allowed your disbelief in God. You are allowed your freedom from religion and distance from any corrupt Christian who attacks, criticizes, and condemns you. But what I don’t get and is not okay is when an atheist disrespects those who see things from a different perspective, shames those who have experienced God, and mocks a God you claim doesn’t exist!
My daughter believes unicorns are real, so she talks about them often. I don’t believe unicorns exist, at least not in this realm, so I don’t speak or write about them. When she insists on talking about unicorns, I don’t attack, shame, or mock her. I see the belief and the excitement in her eyes, and I have no need to take that away from her. She believes and has a right to believe. Constantly arguing and fighting with her trying to disprove that unicorns are not real would be an obsession on my part. Why have a crazy obsession with something that’s not real? We can agree to disagree, but why fight about it? Why must the mention of a unicorn or God make you so angry, so spiteful, so hateful, and so mean? It shouldn’t.
These people have become a religion on its either worshipping the god of science or the god of politics.
VI. The Yeast of The Pharisees
I don't like politics and so I don't talk or concern myself with it.
Whoever has ears…
VII. The Rebels and The Prodigal Children
Now you're probably wondering about me since I have all this to say about everything.
VIII. The Creator of The Universe
Before you think, “How do you know God is a man?” let me bring it up.
God can be anything. He is God. But biblically speaking, God revealed himself to us in scripture in a male form. If God wanted to be revealed as a woman, the pronoun “she” or “heavenly mother” would have been used throughout the Bible.
It gets people all riled up.
Wrapping Up
We have all played a part in the destruction and the division, and we each have a job to do in the rebuilding.
