Self-discovery Through Poetry Challenge Prompt:- 10

Photo by Greg Jeanneau 🗾 on Unsplash

Greetings poets,

I hope you are enjoying the prompts of the Lifeline Poetry Challenge. If you didn’t read the first nine prompts, here you can find out the previous prompts.

I didn’t believe that we are finally reaching the 10th day of this challenge.

So, let’s enjoy the 10th prompt.

The beauty of life is that we have a choice in our life. We can plan our lives, as per our choices. You are the hero of your life.

We all are the authors of our book called “Life.” We have a pen in our hands so we can write our life’s story. We can define our characters. We always have a chance to be the person we want to be. We always have a chance to make our life good or bad as per our choices.

Choices our beauty of life. They allow us to do whatever we want to do.

We all have made many choices in our lives. Every day we are making many choices what to eat, what to wear, where to go, whom to meet. We all have to make many choices whether we want to make them or not.

On the other side, when it comes to choosing the hardest things in life. I always find myself in the lowest phase of life. Since childhood, it was very hard for me to make tough decisions in life.

When choices are tough to make, we often become too hard on ourselves. It hurts a lot. I remember the stage of my life when I was too hard on myself and it was making a lot hard for me to make the right decision.

Whenever you are trying to make the tough decision in life, make this one rule to take a right decision is stay clam and be kinder to yourself.

Today’s prompt is,

Describe a choice you regret. What did you learn from it?

No matter how hard we try, we can’t erase regrets from our lives. Regrets live with us deep inside in our hearts and we can’t throw them out.

They are the proof of our bad choices. They will be with us lifelong. I always wish that if God has given all of us a chance to erase some of our mistakes then we will have a chance to redesign our lives. I wish that we all have one chance to make our lives better before we end this life.

“Every decision brings with it some good, some bad, some lessons, and some luck. The only thing that’s for sure is that indecision steals many years from many people who wind up wishing they’d just had the courage to leap.” -

Zantamata

Every decision comes with good or bad. No matter what it comes with, in the end, we have to accept it.

But always remember, whenever you are making your decision, make those decisions that are keeping you closer to your goals.

Always be confident about your decision once you made it because no matter how much you try it if something bad is about to happen you can’t control of. Instead of controlling it, prepare yourself so that it’s easy for you to go through that phase.

Do share about the choices that lead you to regret in life.

I would like to invite some poets to respond to this prompt. Trista Signe Ainsworth Monoreena Acharjee Majumdar Giulietta Passarelli Jenine Bsharah Baines Neera Handa Dr. Marilyn Glover Ali KM Fullerton Jessica Wolf Doa Demir Ellie Jacobson Ntathu Allen Sadee Bee
