Self-discovery Through Poetry Challenge Prompt:-3
First of all, I apologize for being late with the third prompt of the challenge. I am so sorry because I caught in a lot lately. I hope you all understand my sentiments. Upcoming prompts will be published daily.
I got some very great responses for two prompts. If you haven’t checked it out yet. Here you can check the previous prompts.
When we find our passion, it gives our soul satisfaction. A satisfaction that teaches us what is the real happiness looks and feels like.
I always wonder what is the one thing that makes me excited about living this life. What is that thing that makes me feel why life is so beautiful?
I know you all have this thought in your life. Therefore today’s prompt is,
Write a poem about an activity/thing/or anyone that sets your soul on fire? (If you aren’t sure, then think back to your childhood).
For me, spending time with my family always set my soul on fire.
My family is my priority.
I never compromised with the time that I have to spend with my family members. Family members are the people who are willing to give their everything for you. They are the people who will be with you when you will be alone and have no one to support you. They will be there to give you support whenever you need it. The family will be always there when you need them in the hard times of life.
For me, my family is my support system. They are my everything. Everything in my life starts with them and finishes with them.
I have a rule in my family, we all take dinner together at night. Once, we finish our dinner we talk with each other for about half an hour. It’s like a small group meeting of family members. In that meeting, we discussed how our entire day went. It’s a fun chit-chat that I enjoyed every day. I always treasure the moments that I spend with my family. That meeting is a great moment of my every day because I feel connected with them. Spending time with your family is a great way to stay closed and connected with your family members. It helps you to stay physically and emotionally connected.
“I’m thankful to God for having a family that’s been there for me. He’s been there from the time I was a child to even now with my family helping with my little boy. It’s worth more than words could ever describe. That’s one of the ways I’ve been able to stay grounded is thanks to family and God.”
-Ashton Shepherd
I am grateful to God that he gave me such a beautiful family. A sister that always helps me in strong weather of life. A mother who is always taking care of my everything. A father who always teaches me a great life lesson. These three people are closed to me and my life. They are the people who help me stay grounded and be grateful to God for everything I have in life.
Therefore, spending time with my family is an activity that sets my soul on fire. This is an activity that has always remained significant in my life. I never want to replace this activity with any other activity.
I would like to sum up this post by sharing one of my favorite quote about family.
“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible - the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.”
-Virginia Satir
I hope that you also have one important activity in your life that makes you feel excited about life. An activity that teaches you the importance of life. I hope you enjoyed this prompt and found something valuable.
Do share your response because it always helps me to be more creative with my next prompts. If would like me to improve, I would take your comments as positive feedback and try to be more creative with my upcoming creations.
