Lifeline Poetry Challenge
Self-discovery Through Poetry Challenge Prompt:-4
Greetings poets,
I hope you are enjoying the prompts of the Lifeline Poetry Challenge. If you didn’t read the first prompts, here you can find out the previous prompts.
Today’s the fourth day of this challenge. Life is a series of unexpected events. We can plan out everything in life. However, we can’t plan our life. No matter how much you plan, if God has another plan for you. You will not able to follow your planning.
I used to be a person who was planning every little thing. Even, now I am planning a lot of things for myself. However, I learned that it’s not necessary that your every plan will be successful. There will be days when things will not work out as per your preference or choices. Sometimes, there may be sudden events that will happen which will change your entire life and plan such as you might be diagnosed with some serious disease or you might get into some situation that just changes your entire life in maybe a good or bad way. That’s the way of life. You will never be able to predict what will happen in the next moment.
I learned this hard way that when things didn’t go as per your choice, you should stay calm and let the things cool down around you. Be grateful for whatever happened or whatever will happen in your life because God will always have a better plan for you. You might have to go through the bad phases of life but you will realize the importance of light when you suffered from the darkness.
Be grateful for every event that happened in your life because those events helped you to reach where you are today. If you are going through the bad phases of life right now, stay calm because you will soon arrive to reach the happiest phase of your life.
Therefore today’s prompt is,
Write a poem about your life-changing moment. Penned down what did you felt at that moment. A moment that changed your life for better or worse. It’s time to be grateful and share the lessons from your life-changing moment.
A moment that changed your perspective towards life.
“Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.”
– C.S. Lewis
In life, we have to go through good or bad phases of life to move forward. No one can be at the same point they were in past. We all go ahead with the time.
I know you will all have some turning points of life that you will remember for the rest of your life. It’s time to be grateful for what you have to go through and what made you who you are today.
I would like to conclude this article by sharing one great quote that will force you to lose in your memory lane.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
– Lao Tzu
