Abstract
g I’m a relatively new writer here.</p><h2 id="aa7a">1. Read Percentage.</h2><p id="27ae">All these articles have a read percentage above 50% and some of them have a <b>60–65 % read ratio</b> which implies that it was quite engaging stuff for the readers.</p><p id="e2e7">From each article's stats, I tried to improve and use <b>better engagement strategies observing the top writers on Medium.</b></p><p id="7abf">I have followed some engaging strategies explained here — <a href="https://readmedium.com/want-to-go-viral-top-writer-tips-you-must-follow-b924c8a20b12?sk=98a41cbc7bbc58f8075d8996496b6fc1"><b>Want To go Viral? Top-Writer Tips You Must Follow</b></a></p><h2 id="3979">2. Content length.</h2><p id="8b49">Initial days, I was writing content of length 2–3 min duration. Later I researched the influence of content length in the read revenue.</p><p id="7ed4"><b>I started to write articles with a reading time of 3–5 min.</b></p><p id="ddda">It helped me to get more reading time — which significantly improved my earning.</p><h2 id="31f1">3. Topic Selection.</h2><p id="0e36">From the title to the content, the topic should be valuable to the reader. It can be an emotional/productivity/technical problem. <b>If the writer can explain with personal experiences it adds more value.</b> It will connect with the readers better.</p><h2 id="76dd">4. Engaging with the right audience.</h2><p id="2724">When you publish an article on a specific topic, you should <b>try to engage with people who are interested in that kind of topic.</b></p><p id="eaa0">Presenting in front of a different audience might not give you the traction that you wanted.</p><h2 id="3a9e">5. Get it published in Publications.</h2><p id="eda3">Write consistently and submit to popular publications as drafts (Gives more traction when it gets published directly through a publication).</p><h1 id="745c">Earning</h1><p id="05ce">You can see here, these top 5 articles alone helped to earn 20 roughly. And I have around 30+ articles now.
