Summary

Catherine Mancini, a writer, teacher, and parent, has committed to writing and submitting 30 articles to 30 different publications over 30 days, beginning March 2nd, following a challenge set by David Majister, aiming to increase followers, income, and other statistics.

Abstract

Catherine Mancini has embarked on a personal and professional challenge to enhance her writing efficiency and online presence. She pledges to write and submit one article per day to different publications on Medium for 30 consecutive days. Despite facing the hurdles of work and family commitments, Mancini has strategized to utilize her limited free time effectively, including writing during lunch breaks and her children's independent playtime. The challenge, inspired by David Majister's own 30-day writing endeavor, has a dual purpose: to increase Mancini's Medium followers to 250 and to earn at least $250 in income within the challenge period. Mancini plans to document her progress and share her experiences, including the pros and cons of the challenge, along with a detailed report on the outcomes such as changes in followers, income, views, read time, and claps. As of the provided content, she has successfully published articles in various Medium publications and is continuing her writing journey.

Opinions

  • Mancini is committed to transparency, planning to share her experiences and the impact of the challenge on her writing career through a comprehensive report.

My 30 Article Challenge Pledge Post

I am making the pledge to submit 30 articles to 30 different publications over 30 days. I will be updating my progress on this post over the course of 30 days, starting from 2nd March.

This challenge comes from David Majister. Please see his post (linked below) for all of the rules for the challenge.

A little bit about me…

My Plan

I am going to find very difficult to write my 30 posts because I have work and family commitments. Heck, I am a day late with posting my pledge! I will continue to write in the pockets of time in the evenings, but I will need to up my game a bit.

I will find extra time to write during my lunch breaks at work and I will dedicate my kids’ independent play time towards this challenge too.

I think the biggest component for me will be writing efficiency. I usually spend a lot of time think about my posts and planning them out first. I think I will need to avoid planning and go straight into writing and getting it all out onto my page. Even if my posts don’t quite make sense at first, I will be able to edit them for clarity.

When the 30 days are up…

I will be writing a report detailing:

  • my experience in the challenge
  • the pros and cons of participating in a challenge
  • the change in followers
  • the money made
  • and all other stats including views, read time and claps
