Meet Patrick OConnell
Senior editor of Illumination Integrated Publications on Medium
This post introduces Patrick OConnell, who is a top writer, avid reader, and editor of Illumination Integrated Publications on Medium. He joined our team recently and supports writers and readers with care and passion.
Patrick was born in Washington, DC, the oldest son of an Army officer. He traveled extensively to do a two-year stint in Nurnberg, Germany as a freshman and sophomore in high school, completing his senior year at a military school in Marion, Alabama.
Patrick is 80 years old, sharing his wisdom in online communities for years. He is married and lives in New Mexico, the United States, with his family.
We enjoy Patrick’s writing style very much and always gain insights and inspiration. He keeps his sentences short and uses common words and phrases to maintain clarity, brevity, and impact in his stories.
As a community-minded writer, Patrick joined our publications and redoubled his efforts to mentor struggling writers and share his knowledge concerning online marketing with others. He authentically engages with other writers and readers.

He also shares this information in his weekly Patrick and Stephanie Show podcast as well!
His newsletter also promotes select angel investors and Venture Capitalists. He offers his readership the opportunity for their startup to be “discovered” by some of the most well-connected and astute thought leaders on the planet, including Gerald Celente, Brian Yim (CEO, MillionaireAsia), and Delia Garcia-Celedon, whose articles on Market Analysis have appeared in his newsletter and the Bombay Brokers’ Forum monthly newsletter.
