Hello writers and bloggers,
Today, I will introduce you to a top writer on Medium, senior editor of Illumination Integrated publications, and a global thought leader in sustainability.
I briefly mention his professional background and touch on his writing and editing contributions.
Let’s meet Dr Michael Heng.
Dr Michael Heng, from Singapore, serves many countries as a global thougth leader. He has 36 years of senior management and consulting experience, including local and foreign multinational corporations.
Dr Heng is recognized as a critical thinker, an influential thought-leader, and a writer on human capital, venture creation, business strategy, politics, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
He serves as a consultant internationally on multiple topics. His consultancy portfolio includes strategy, sustainability, renewable energy, eco-city projects, organizational transformation, corporate social responsibility, and logistics.
Dr Heng was the Human Resource Management Expert for the International Labor Organization, a United Nations agency, on Social Dialogue and Human Resource Management. He served many countries such as China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong governments for various high-level consulting projects.
Dr Heng founded his first human resource consulting company in 1992 and has since initiated several startup ventures. In addition, he participated in various humanitarian relief missions to East Timor, Nias, and Pakistan.
His contributions and success enabled Dr Heng to be recognized on the National Day 2002 Honor’s List. So he was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) for community service by the President of Singapore.
He participated in many international conferences and symposiums as a speaker delivering critical messages for communities.
Therefore, he had several more awards and accolades. For example, he was conferred the CSR Leadership Award 2012 “in recognition of his contributions which have made a difference to people and the community.”
He also received a Global CSR Leadership Award at the Global Summit in 2012. In addition, he received the CSR Leadership Excellence Award at the Philip Kotler World Marketing Summit 2013,
After that Dr Heng served as an Advisor to World CSR Congress from 2014 to 2017.
In 2019, Dr Heng received the Earth Care Award for Sustainability Leadership in a climate-friendly business enterprise, promoting innovative eco-friendly alternatives for sustainable development.
As invited by Dr Mehmet Yildiz, chief editor of Illumination Integrated publications, Dr Michael Heng joined as a consulting editor contributing to the growth of these large publications. Dr Heng reviews many articles every day and publishes them promptly.
He supports writers with his editorial advice and contributes to their growth. He also advises new editors and inspires many writers with his meaningful engagement.
Dr Heng is a prolific writer with a massive portfolio. Most of his stories can be found on Illumination-Curated publication on Medium. In addition to non-fiction, he also writes poetry.
