Hello writers and bloggers,
Today, I am going to introduce you a top writer on Medium. I briefly mention his professional, educational, and writing background. Let’s meet Julius L. Evans. He is a Top Writer in Music and Reading.
Julius is and professional Journalist and writer. His education is vast. He has a Master of Arts degree in National Security & Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, in Newport, RI.
A Master of Arts degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Big East Seton Hall University, in South Orange, NJ.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications & Journalism from City University, in Bellevue, WA and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies from Central Texas College, Killeen, TX.
His advanced academic studies include being a Graduate of the Defense Information School’s Joint Senior Public Affairs Course, Editor’s Course, Public Affairs Qualification Courses and the Basic Journalism Course and more.
Mr. Evans is a 2013–2014 African American Federal Executive Association
While Mr. Evans has an extensive writing background that I will mention briefly. He was a pioneer in online dating when he founded and owned Singles Magazine and Singles Magazine online while he was in the United States Navy.
In 1996, he started this publication and owned and operated it until his sea-going ship was assigned to a deployment.
He also created Chem-Bio Defense Quarterly Magazine for the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense and Logistically Speaking for Naval Medical Logistics Command.
He also won the Rear Adm. Lewis E. Angelo Professional Symposium 2012 LEAP Award, the Army Achievement Medal for Civilian Service Editor of the Year, Chem-Bio Defense Quarterly Magazine and Numerous letters of commendation and appreciation from 2003 — present.
The Proceedings Magazine 1998 Distinguished Writer Pen and many official military awards including Commander, Navy Recruiting Area Three’s Atlanta, GA Winner of the Public Affairs Event of the Year (one time event) and also National Runner Up in 1995, and also the Chief of Information ‘CHINFO Award’ four times, once each for electronic publishing, television broadcast, cruise book publishing, and newspaper editing. His other passion is reading and he is actively involved with his Facebook Book Recommendations Group.
He discovered Medium quite by accident. While researching his next great read, he stumbled upon the Medium website. After a few moments of reading to learn what it was about, he was hooked. That was on Aug. 4, 2021. Since then he’s developed more than 1,600 followers, more than 35,000 views, more than 17,000 reads and many other accolades on the website.
His most cherished achievement though is the organic nature with which he develops his audience. While he hasn’t gotten to everyone, he enjoys replying to every comment. He spends time going back through old stories to ensure that no reply is left with a non-response. If you have written to Julius, he WILL write you back.
Mr. Evans in six months, has earned two Top Writer badges as a prolific writer. He has expanded his reading audience. He engages routinely with every person who replies to his articles. He is now joining us as part of the ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications family here on YouTube. He plans to create his own videos.
In blue suit, Julius is as comfortable sporting a suit as he is wearing jeans and flip-flops. Any attire is writing attire.
You will hardly ever catch Julius without wearing a smile. From left to right, Tyra his youngest daughter, Susan his wife, Donte his son, Korbyn his first granddaughter, Julius, and Adonijah his oldest daughter.
There’s nothing more important to Julius than family. Julius’ avatar is a good representation of how you would normally see him, in a suit with a skull cap on. Daughters Tyra and Adonijah enjoy accompanying their dad wherever travel trips take them.
