Love at first sight
A love poem

Do you still remember that moment? We were talking about the stars and life’s mysteries. On that beach, a beautiful night under a starry sky? The prelude of what was about to be happening.
I accidentally ran into you on a Summer holiday, you were telling me your life’s story and I felt your heavy heart. I stammered when you asked me whether I was taken, surprised by this question, I just kept listening.
We walked and talked two wonderful nights long, then, somehow, on the third day, you found a key to my heart. My head felt light and my stomach got full of butterflies when you put your arms around me just before you had to leave.
I’ve never encountered that feeling in my life before, I was always so independent, organized, and in control. But all at once, my mind turned alien on me when I finally gave in to this love at first sight.
I couldn’t believe the sudden and overwhelming passion … I mean, me? Falling in love with a stranger I just met? But we were both convinced it was undoubtedly meant to be, for immediately from the start, we knew we were soulmates.
Still, I thought I was dreaming, building castles in the air, was it just an infatuation, or does love at first sight really exists? Since we never met before, we were sure there was nothing between us. Or had we perhaps met each other on our life’s journeys before?
We both dared to put our faith into Fate, ignoring the uncertainty, while considering the fact that Chance could play tricks with us. But it’s been 14 years of happiness and I’m sure it was Destiny, bringing us together at this moment of crossroads in our lives.
Is there really such a thing that we call love at first sight? I didn’t know until it surprisingly, wholly befell on me. My love for you has no limits, it is completely absolutely. Unconditional true love from the bottom of my heart.
I felt my heart move to you when your love came in with me, filling my soul with such deep and strong awareness. Time has passed and together we’ve made it all possible. It wasn’t always easy but we moved mountains, withstood it all.
I totally never expected to fall in love at first sight, It’s as if I already knew you and I felt the essence of who you are. It is magical and it brought us to a place we now call home. You truly are my soulmate and I will love you forevermore.
Stay safe and be well! 💕
