A Phoenix of Hope

A Poem

To be reborn in your fire That arises from your heart From the golden or the silver skies You came descending here

With your colors that are fading Without regrets, without questions Beyond shadow, beyond doubt Time for a new resurrection

You can leave it all thereafter As the end of every chapter Let your passion ignite the fire Fed in heart, whose flames aspire

So let your wings be resting On the flowers that have kissed you For in this lifetime you were destined To serve your quest out

To be reborn I longed to find The Phoenix of my soul To live again, leave pain behind A new life to make me whole

I was running from my life But I could not get that high So I just flew in my dreams Deeply into century’s streams

Oh, how I’d wish that I could fly Like you — a Phoenix in the sky To burn behind what past is In the greys of my ashes

I would choose to die on water Yet that is concern for later For a new timeline thread Has lit my heart instead

I’m capable of seeing That I need no longer fleeing Before my dying day was done New beginnings came around

My life has made me tougher I have left behind the suffering I can live without the flying Be reborn without the dying

Between intense emotions Shines the hope of new creation Heart Light of Love and passion Has solved my soul’s confusion

So I shall not float to Heaven Instead, I choose to be forgiven There’s so much I have to give In the feathers of Hope, I’ll live
