I hate to admit this. My twin flame is merely a soul tie. I’ve been delusional. It was a beautiful delusion, but it no longer served me.

A twin flame is said to be someone with whom you share a soul and a soul tie is a strong connection or link that binds two people.

A soul tie is formed after two people have been intimate physically, spiritually, mentally, or even emotionally. The two souls come together to take one form. It can be divine (healthy) when it helps you fulfill your purpose, or diabolic (unhealthy) if it distracts you from your purpose.

The truth will piss you off before it sets you free.

Twin flames are a new age concept and soul ties are very real whether you believe it or not. A twin flame is nothing but a really tight soul tie formed by intense passion and attraction. As your longing for your twin flame increases, the tie gets tighter. As you yearn for them, the tie tightens until it hurts.

Twin flame experts say twin flames share a soul, but that’s not the whole story. To get the whole story, you must first understand what a soul is.

The Whole Story

A soul is a betweener — a bridge between the spirit and the body. Your soul comes into existence only after your spirit has entered your body. Since the body is formed inside the mother’s womb, the spirit (breath of life) enters the body inside the mother’s womb.

When you really think about this, the idea that twin flames planned this experience before coming into existence makes no sense. Without body and spirit together, there can be no soul.

When you’re passionately in love with someone you believe you planned this experience with before even coming here, you won’t believe me. This will piss you off! It will be hard to believe any of this.

Three years ago, I wouldn’t have believed me. Although I wanted to believe in something mystically beautiful, it is just a delusion.

After wasting years of your life, you’ll realize you’ve been fooling yourself once you finally snap out of it. Time wasted is the consequence of a soul tie.

It blinds then it binds you.

When learning about the soul, you must know that it is composed of three parts: the mind, the will, and the emotions.

With your mind, you think. With your will, you choose and with your emotions, you act. Having your spirit and soul attached to another will affect the way you think, choose, and act.

Remember the days before you met your twin flame. Things were going well. You were doing okay and going about your life. It all made sense, then you met this person and opened up physically, mentally, spiritually, or emotionally, and suddenly everything stopped making sense.

You can produce results that you never intended when you have an unhealthy soul tie. While you are in delusion, the concept of twin flames can keep you in one place for 3 years, 5 years, or 15 years because you are bound, not in love. That’s the truth.

Time wasted is the consequence of a twin flame. It blinds then it binds you.

The Truth of The Matter

Sex is a purely spiritual act. When you lay with someone, you become one with them. One in spirit and in soul with the person.

In time, you will begin to feel similarly (emotions), think similarly (mind), and act similarly (actions). The tighter the bond becomes, the more you will feel as one. You will mirror and mimic them and you’ll believe they are you. You’ll feel as one. This oneness is what people think is a divine connection.

Just because you’ve become one with someone in spirit and in soul doesn’t mean it’s divine. It’s diabolical when it distracts and holds you back from your purpose.

If you don’t break free from this, it will affect not only you but your kids and everyone around you. It’ll be generational.

What stops you from moving forward is what stops them. What defeats you is what defeats them. You inherit their giants — which are their challenges and obstacles — for as long as your soul is tied to them and you pass it to those around you.

David and Jonathan from the Bible are often used to justify twin flames by twin flame experts. The two were one in soul. They were one in spirit to the point that Jonathan chose David over his own dad. This is a divine soul tie. They were good to each other. They loved and respected each other.

Is your twin flame divine as in empowering you to become who you came here to be or is it diabolical as in disempowering you, running away from you, making you tired from chasing them every day, and not making you feel good enough or worthy of love?

Only you know this.

We see from David and Johnathan’s example that a soul tie isn’t just between men and women. When two souls become linked somehow, a soul tie can happen. It is also possible to have more than one soul tie when you open up to many people.

If you remove the scales off of your eyes and look closely, you will see the signs of your soul tie.

Having your spirit and soul attached to another will affect the way you think, choose, and act.

The Number One Sign

When your thoughts are consumed by someone, you know you have a soul tie. It’s the hallmark of a twin flame relationship.

It's like your mind has stopped working on its own. Like you are being controlled by the thoughts of another person. Your days are spent thinking about them, then you fall asleep thinking about them, then you wake up thinking about them again.

It's a soul tie.

Some people leave a relationship that may be divine for a toxic twin flame.

Why?

It’s because they have an unhealthy soul tie to that person. They’re willing to sacrifice a relationship with someone who makes them better for someone who’s made them bitter in the past.

During my twin flame relationship, there were times when I said enough is enough; then, all of a sudden, I’d hear a song that reminded me of him, and I’d forget everything I’d said and find myself begging for something as basic as love.

When you know what to do, but you can’t do it, it becomes a struggle, and time doesn’t make your feelings go away.

Time Has No Power

Twin flame experts will tell you you can’t get out of a twin flame journey, and they’re right. You can’t get out because your soul is bound. Until you break that tie, you can’t go anywhere.

Others will tell you you can’t forget your twin flame. Yeah, that’s right too. When your mind, will, and emotions are entangled with theirs, you’ll never forget them.

It’s hard to break a soul tie with your twin flame, but by using your mind, will, and emotions you can get yourself out of the tangled mess you find yourself in.

When souls become one, you’ve crossed the line of natural. As soon as it becomes spiritual, you can’t break it naturally. You can’t just walk away. You’re tied. You can’t say you’re done. You’re bound. You can’t say enough is enough when you’re stuck on them.

And time has no power over ties.

Never think that as time goes on, whatever bond there is will eventually break. When it comes to spiritual ties, time has no power.

Until you employ your mind, will, and emotions to work to break the tie, nothing on earth will be able to untangle the soul — not even time.

When souls become one, you’ve crossed the line of natural. As soon as it becomes spiritual, you can’t break it naturally.

Untangling The Soul

When you come back to your senses and snap out of the beautiful delusions, you will wonder how on earth you can break free. It will seem impossible.

You have to understand that soul ties are spiritual things. You can’t see the tie, so you can’t break it. You need help not from a fellow human being but from a much higher power who sees hidden things.

For me, I asked God to help me. I admitted where I went wrong and how it was my disobedience that had gotten me into the sticky mess. I realized how the connection was distracting me from my work and so I asked for God to show me how I could fix the issue so I could focus on the work that had been assigned to me. Immediately I thought of soul ties. I went on YouTube to do some research and the first video that was recommended to was about soul ties. That was my confirmation.

You must ask for help and help will come. Next, you will have to do a spiritual fast.

To see if my twin flame had replied to my texts, I would open WhatsApp. I opened that app randomly even when I wasn’t aware of it. I was addicted and I had to break the addiction. I had to fast from the app. I deleted the messages that I read over and over that were only tightening the tie and kept my will to not check the app for a message from my twin flame.

Whatever keeps you tied, you have to fast from it. Then I had to counteract everything I had said about him to him.

“We are meant to be together. We belong together. I can’t live without you. I can never love anyone else like this.”

I had to counteract them all because they were self-fulfilling prophecies and the more I said them, the tighter the bond become.

You know the things you’ve said to them and others about them. Words are spells. Everything that your mouth has said about the connection, you must use that same mouth to counteract it.

If you’ve said you can never live without that person, you must say you will live to tell the story and teach others to break free from the soul ties that bind them. Whatever you said, say the opposite. Combat those words using words. And then renew your mind.

Admit it.

You were delusional but now you know the truth. Knowledge gives you the power to break every stronghold and cut the ties that are holding you back from doing all that you came here to do. Careful of the new age concepts you accept as divine. They aren’t always. Renew your mind and you won’t fall for worldly doctrines that keep you bound.

You need help not from a fellow human being who can’t see the tie but help from a much higher power who sees hidden things.

Brace Yourself

You must prepare your mind for how hard it’s going to be.

Breaking the tie and losing the one you love the most can feel like a dagger through the heart, a searing pain that radiates through every inch of your being. It’s like a deep, dark hole has been carved out of your chest, leaving you feeling empty and hollow inside.

As you come to terms with the fact that it’s not divine after all, a sickening feeling creeps up from your stomach, like a dark cloud of nausea. It’s a feeling of deep loss and profound sadness as if a part of you has been torn away.

It’s like being on a rollercoaster that you can’t get off, the twists and turns leaving you dizzy and disoriented. You try to hold on, to cling to the memories and the love you once shared, but it all slips through your fingers like sand.

It’s a pain that leaves you feeling raw and exposed, vulnerable to the world around you. You may feel like you’ll never be able to love again as if your heart has been shattered into a million tiny pieces.

You must allow yourself to feel it all and to grieve what could have been.

When you feel, you will heal.

With time, the pain will fade as you keep healing every day. Then you’ll be free to live the life you came here to live and experience a love so divine it blesses instead of burdens, exalts instead of exhausts, and comes running home to you instead of running away.
