I. The Twin Flame Idea Is Very Nice
Nothing has meaning until you assign it one. The twin flame is real because the world has assigned meaning to it.
When you’re madly in love with a person who rejects and runs from you even though there are plenty of sparks when you’re together and the sex is the best you’ve ever had, we call it a twin flame.
I believe the concept of a soul connection is true. We may feel a strong connection to others that goes beyond this one lifetime. But I also believe that much of what has been said about the twin flame connection is delusional and spiritually distracting.
There is a lot of hype and romanticization of twin flames which misleads many. People get fascinated with it and start feeling that they have met their twin flame when all they feel is intense pleasure followed by intense pain.
The twin flame is a dangerous concept that can make you vulnerable to all kinds of problematic people who don’t have any noble intentions but to manipulate, use, and lead you on to nothing.
The real danger is staying stuck for many years and avoiding the path your soul has chosen for you because you are attached to a person who doesn’t want you.
The concept has now become nothing but a coping mechanism to deny the reality of a painful rejection.
People get involved in the twin flame concept just to be able to say they’ve experienced something magical, but in due time, they see how distracted they’ve been and the time they’ve wasted. Then they discard the concept and eventually move on.
It happens to most of us.
The twin flame idea is very nice but you soon find that it is the greatest spiritual distraction of all time.
II. Don’t Let Yourself Be Distracted By It
I too was fascinated with a man who I labeled as my twin flame. This was a man who I loved deeply but he kept running and rejecting me. I was living in a delusion thinking that the universe would bring him back. After years of waiting and playing the runner-chaser twin flame game, I had to eventually accept reality for what it is. It wasn’t meant to be. It was only distracting me from my work and so I had to let it go. Did I get over him? I will never get over him because it is the highest form of love.
You see, every love story is a twin flame story. All it takes is the label to make it one.
When we have a spiritual awakening, we always want to believe something that feels mystical not realizing that these things are in front of us every day. Even the most cynical person on the planet can find great love and call it a twin flame if they choose and they’ll believe it because it’s a meaning they’ve assigned.
But truly, the twin flame concept is a burden and you do not need to carry this burden anymore. Let it go and walk your path freely.
Don’t let yourself be distracted.
The twin flame concept will hold you back from doing the work you need to be doing. You will waste your time chasing after people who won’t stop running from you.
But eventually, many will hurt so badly and start to question the authenticity of it. They will search for the truth and they will find it.
They will find that the universe doesn’t work like that and the universe will not bring back a person who refuses to stop and see you for the amazing being that you are. And then they will carry on with their lives.
III. Don’t Lose Hope but Give Up False Hope
You can have a stronger connection with someone, but that doesn’t mean that you need to call it a twin flame. When you give it such a label before it has become something, the relationship is already doomed to fail.
For every good thing in life, you have to work for it and the same thing is for relationships. No amount of labeling will help it survive when it’s just not meant to be. If you want a relationship with someone to work, both sides need to work at it without the tiring game of cat and mouse.
Adults shouldn’t have to do that.
You need to end the chase and work on self-development, your relationship skills, healing trauma, and growth on your own, then you can reflect and attract a healthy relationship.
A person can show up at an important crossroads in your spiritual journey to offer you an opportunity to wake up.
Wake up and keep waking up every day.
A twin flame comes as a catalyst to help you love yourself but they do not come to stay in your life. They don't come to love you.
Don’t fall too deep into this twin flame trap. Leave the concept and the worldly labels behind and live the experience.
The twin flame is a test that comes to teach you that you need to heal, put yourself first, focus on your purpose, and build up your life; and then you may reflect and attract a person who is aligned with you.
Don’t lose hope but give up false hope.
Don’t wait for anyone to come and save you when truly, only you can save yourself.
When you find love, it’s just that. You found love. Love is the greatest of them all. Every person you meet can be your twin flame if there’s love and a spark there.
So then what do you do?
Must you despise the one who is running and rejecting you? Of course not.
If you’ve met a person with who you have a deep soul connection, you can never stop loving them. Not loving them would be wrong. But you can’t waste your time and your life when they’ve gone on to live theirs. That would be foolish.
When someone rejects you, see beyond the rejection. See the rejection as a redirection to something that is more aligned with you.
Nothing that is meant for you will pass you by. If it sees you and passes you by, that’s a sign that this is not the person for you. It’s not meant to be and it has nothing to do with you or them.
So stop the chase and be like a tree. Focus on growing and the bird will come.
Walk forward on your own path and the one who is for you will catch up with you and they will walk with you. They won’t run. They will stay and love you as you love yourself.
When you finally reach this realization, the twin flame journey ends but an even greater love story with yourself begins.
