The Truth About Twin Flames and Soul Mates

There is no cosmic being that divides souls in half and cast them down upon the earth

I. The False Theory

The twin flame dynamic we know of now is from a limited spiritual perspective.

The idea that we were created as a perfect soul, which was then split into two halves — male and female — and the two halves were cast upon the earth by a powerful cosmic being to reincarnate with a longing to find each other and the moment we found each other, there would be sparks, we would fall in love, reunite and become an individual soul I believe is far from the truth.

This idea suggests that there is a cosmic being sitting on a throne who split souls and cast them upon the earth, but there is no such thing.

We live in a universe that is one, and everything in it is connected somehow. The idea that you are an individual being is an illusion. When you reach this level of spiritual awareness, you realize that everyone and everything is your soul mate or twin flame because in a universe that is one and connected, all there is, is you.

That means that you and I are soulmates. It can also mean that the cosmic being that supposedly cast souls down on earth and I are one. That could also mean that I'm connected to the laptop that I'm using right now.

Everything is connected.

There is no cosmic being that divides souls in half and cast them down upon the earth.

II. Streams of Consciousness

A body can be split into halves because a body is physical. Souls are spiritual. You can’t split a spirit into halves. A soul is just a stream of consciousness, and streams do nothing but flow. You can try to cut a stream or soul into halves and it would flow right back as one.

Every stream originates from one source — the ocean. We can call this ocean God or the universe. A soul or stream may split into two or more (on its own) but it eventually goes back to its source. It eventually flows back into the ocean.

Metaphorically speaking, those we call twin flames and soul mates are just streams of consciousnesses from the same soul. It's the same soul that branches out just to have many experiences.

A soul can reincarnate as multiple individuals (streams) both human and non-human, just to experience many things. If one stream runs into another, the stream would have no awareness of it. It would say it's just water. If one aspect of you ran into another aspect of you, you wouldn’t know unless you were spiritually aware.

But being spiritually aware isn’t enough.

You have to be positively aligned with them and them with you.

The original stream is whole and complete. It has all that it needs. Now let's say the stream splits and one flows down the wrong path and gets polluted with waste. If the polluted stream later runs into the much cleaner version of itself, it would feel very different from it. It wouldn't recognize it as the same water stream (soul.)

If a polluted soul stream runs into a different aspect of itself that is in perfect alignment, it would be hard to see it as one with itself. You wouldn't resonate with them. You'd see them as better than you. You see them as too perfect for you. You'd place them on a pedestal and that's the moment there will be a disconnection.

Those we call twin flames and soul mates are just streams of consciousnesses from the same soul.

III. The Natural Order of The Universe

Separation isn’t the natural order of things. We will always be drawn to the truth that we are all one and connected. We are all little streams originating from the same ocean that is meant to flow back into each other.

If you have a soul mate or twin flame out there, on a soul level, you will know it and you will yearn for them. There’ll be an intense desire for a reunion. If your soul didn’t split because maybe you’ve experienced all there is to experience, that thought will not resonate with you in this lifetime.

The universe will always seek to help separated soul streams find their way back to each other. Unity is the natural order of the universe. But if one soul stream or both aren't aligned, a reunion would seem impossible because of the difference in vibrational frequencies.

If both soul streams are perfectly aligned with themselves and have no resistance against who they are; even if they’re a little polluted and still know who they are, they make it easy for the reunion to take place.

The moment you run into a soul stream, you will immediately recognize them as part of yourself, and being with them will feel like home. You will be wildly attracted to them simply because they are a part of your stream of consciousness.

These reunions are what we agreed upon before reincarnating here, and when we finally meet, it can feel like fate.

The universe will always seek to help separated soul streams find their way back to each other.

IV. The Different Versions of Ourselves

Our individual soul streams may flow in different directions as male and female just to experience what it feels like to be both. This is why a true twin flame or soul mate may feel like they are a male or female version of you. Different, yet similar in every way.

Knowing that souls can split into different genders, many of us plan to find those versions of ourselves so we can come together as one and feel complete. But the law of attraction holds strongly for soulmates and twin flames.

You can’t attract something you’re not a vibrational match with.

If you are in a different vibration than your other soul stream (s) you will not recognize them as a part of yourself. You may not recognize them at all and they will flow right past you. Even when you manage to flow into each other, there will be discord, and that can be extremely painful.

The law of attraction holds strongly for soulmates and twin flames. You can’t attract something you’re not a vibrational match with.

V. Split Soul Stream Reunion

If your soul mate or twin flame is a stream of consciousness originating from the same source but expressing itself in a different form, then to be reunited with them, you must flow in one accord.

If you are flowing upstream and your other soul is flowing downstream, it will be impossible to flow together at all. It will cause disruptions and resistance. Both of you will be flowing against the stream of consciousness within yourselves. Discord between souls is unbearable.

In order to flow in one accord, you must both see yourselves as whole and you must BOTH be positively aligned.

That's where all the problems begin.

Split souls agree to come to earth as separate and the plan is to always find each other, but that doesn’t always happen. We can find our split souls when we become spiritually aware, through an awakening or something similar, but not everybody wakes up.

This is why most twin flame relationships seem impossible because it’s rare that both souls will be awake, aware, and aligned with each other at the exact same time. It's rare that they will vibrate on the same frequency.

If your soul mate or twin flame is a stream of consciousness originating from the same source but expressing itself in a different form, then to be reunited, you must flow in one accord.

VI. Requirements for Reunion

Those who reunite with their twin flame and have a successful twin flame relationship are both spiritually awake, aware, and aligned. The reunion normally happens after both souls have gone through a positive change in the way they see and relate to themselves.

To be reunited, both streams must flow in the same direction. Both souls must go in the same direction. They must both be in positive emotional heart space and mental headspace.

When one of the two is not, a reunion is unlikely.

Each soul must relate with themselves positively, no matter how polluted their water stream may be. They must see themselves in a positive light. That requires self-acceptance.

The key is to approve of yourself regardless of what’s not perfect.

To be a match to another person who will see you as amazing, you must first see yourself as amazing just the way you are. When both souls accept and approve of themselves just the way they are, they can flow in one accord and there is no resistance or discord.

It is difficult to be reunited with your twin flame while one or both of you are in the process of healing or improving yourself. To want to improve yourself means you don’t approve of yourself. We can only reunite with them when this improvement we are making on ourselves adds to our happiness and not because we think something is wrong with us.

To be reunited with a soul mate or twin flame, you must stop trying to change or improve yourself just to be loved. You have to be your authentic self.

You have to start approving of all the things you struggle to accept about yourself.

Think of something you don’t approve of about yourself and then think of things that make you feel better about the thing you don’t approve of.

For example, I’m way too deep, highly sensitive, and intense.

I don’t fear love, so when I love, I love fiercely and I go all in. That scares many people away. Before I became spiritually aware, I tried to tone it down. I tried to love like I’m shallow and insensitive, but that was me disapproving of myself.

This is what I did:

Things that make me feel better about being too deep, sensitive, and intense is that it makes me real. I can allow others to be themselves around me because there’s absolutely nothing that is too much or too deep for me to handle. I can relate to and meet people wherever they are. That makes me a great spiritual teacher and coach. It also makes me a kick-ass spiritual writer because I’m not afraid to dive deep into certain topics to dig for answers and find the truths to share with the world.

Now that makes being too deep, sensitive and intense not feel bad at all. I approve of it.

When both souls accept and approve of themselves just the way they are, they can flow in one accord and there is no discord.

VII. In Conclusion

So do soul mates and twin flames exist? Yes, they exist and you would have no desire for them if they did not exist.

If you have a strong desire to meet yours, then you have one or more of them out there. But just because you have such a person somewhere in the universe doesn’t mean you’re not already whole.

You are a whole split stream, and you will feel complete once they flow back into you or you into them.

Unfortunately, not all soul streams make it back together. If you and your twin flame or soul mate aren’t aligned and you keep flowing in different directions, it’s okay too because, in the end, you’ll both join the same ocean.

But when you’re lucky and you get to flow right into your twin flame or soul mate in this lifetime in one accord, you are fulfilling the natural order of the universe, and that is oneness and connection.
