3 Signs You Are Wasting Your Time and Your Life

Because your time is your life

Waste your time and you waste your life. (Bianca Blauth)

1. You Are Comfortable

People who waste their lives live based on comfort. It’s a drug of the world that holds people back from stepping up and doing the work they've been called to do. It makes people think everything is fine when it’s not. It distracts you from seeing what needs to be seen.

Comfort encourages you to close your eyes and go to sleep in a world that seeks to keep you asleep so you don't become too powerful knowing you have a power to be used. Comfort makes you spend your lifetime blindly following social constructs.

Comfort isn’t a bad thing. We need a basic level of comfort in our lives like love, food, and shelter, but too much comfort kills our productivity and our drive. It can even turn into laziness which will hold you back from heeding the call of God.

It’s okay to be content where you are. It’s okay to love your life and be happy where you find yourself, but let’s not confuse being content with being too comfortable you settle for less.

Being content comes after growing and leaving your comfort zone. Your comfort zone is a kill zone. Your comfort zone is where visions go to vanish. It’s where dreams go to die. It’s where ideas go to be lost. Comfort kills every good thing.

Your comfort zone is a danger zone.

If you’re comfortable but you’ve not heeded the call to fulfill your purpose, you’re wasting precious time and your life and it’s a sign that you need to leave your comfort zone.

Comfort zones are cozy places where everything is familiar. They are predictable, unchallenging, and very comfortable, but growth does not happen there.

As long as you stay in your comfort zone, you will not learn anything new. It is comfort zones that keep you from stretching yourself to grow, and once you stop growing, everything in your life ceases to grow as well.

This is why spiritual awakenings are so uncomfortable. It forces you to leave your comfort zone so you can grow.

You’ll only grow if you challenge yourself to learn and do new things. Spiritual development requires putting yourself in situations that force you to grow, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be.

If you want to live a truly fulfilling life, you have to embrace discomfort.

If you don’t know how to leave your comfort zone, read. If you don’t when to leave, write. If you don’t know what to do when you’ve left your comfort zone, build or create something out of nothing and grow.

Like a seed in the ground, be uncomfortable for a while. Being uncomfortable signifies you’re on the right path.

This is why spiritual awakenings are so uncomfortable. It forces you to leave your comfort zone so you can grow.

2. You Watch TV

The average American watches over 5 hours of television per day. Some people watch much more than 5 hours. If you watch 5 hours per day, then you’re watching 35 hours per week watching other people live their lives.

It’s not our fault we’re addicted to TV. Life is stressful and watching TV is a way to escape from everyday problems and seek pleasure. It encourages escapism from personal responsibilities.

It’s an agenda. The world programmers want it that way. It’s called TV programs for a reason. It programs our minds early in life. And they broadcast everything but real spiritual revolutions that can actually lead to mind expansion and soul evolution.

This is why those on a spiritual awakening journey will completely remove TV from their lives and feel no fear of missing out.

It’s okay to watch some TV but you have to be careful and selective with what you watch and listen to. Nothing you see on TV is as it seems.

Watching too much TV can cause us to live in a dream world but the act itself can get us sucked into a trance-like state. You know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever seen someone, especially a child and even adults, completely absorbed in the television, unaware of what’s going on around them.

If you want to succeed in life, you must limit the time you spend watching TV and being programmed.

The eyes and the ears are spiritual gates that lead into your temple. The things that enter through these gates build or weaken your spirit. Be aware of what you are putting into your subconscious mind, and try to understand how your TV viewing influences your spiritual growth.

Time wasters are subtle. Your time is your life. Waste your time and you waste your life.

If you truly want to succeed, you must cut TV out of your life completely! You wouldn’t be missing out on a thing! Your mind and your life will improve so much that you’ll never go back to wasting a second of your life.

Too much TV clutters the mind, filling it with useless and sometimes false information and unnecessary stimulation that prevents you from hearing that still voice of the Holy Spirit. You don’t need stimulation. You need stillness which creates space for Spirit to be able to speak with you.

The average American watches 5 hours of TV but if you could cut off 2 hours and still watch 3 hours which is still plenty, you could carve those two hours into doing other things that are productive and help you grow. You will be shocked at how much you are able to accomplish in a day.

And if you choose to cut out TV time completely from your life eliminating all the matrix programming, you can then become all that God created you to be.

When you choose to watch TV, be mindful and pay attention to what's going on around you as you watch.

Choose the things that leave you feeling inspired and informed, those that can teach you new skills and give you spiritual strength.

This is why those on a spiritual awakening journey will completely remove TV out of their lives and feel no fear of missing out.

3. You Make Excuses

The person who is always making excuses is seldom good for anything else.

I can list a ton of reasons why people make excuses and don’t go after their dreams earlier on: Too young, too old, a lack of education, never been done before, not fitting in, nobody believing in them or supporting them, life is too hard, it’s too late, etc.

And there are many fears too — the fear of fame, the fear of failure, the fear of embarrassment, the fear of success, the fear of change, the fear of the unknown, the fear of rejection, etc.

But as you grow, you start to see certain things very clearly.

We all make excuses but excuses are the subtle reasons we justify ourselves for not wanting to do something. It’s how we justify ourselves when we don’t want to admit we are where we are because of our choices.

If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don’t, you will find an excuse.

We can always find a reason not to pursue our goals. The reason you give yourself for not doing something will always seem reasonable to you.

But as you grow up and start to see things clearly, you feed your dreams and starve the doubts. You stop making excuses. You keep your faith strong and your fears weak.

Excuses are a sign that you want to do better but you’re not willing to be uncomfortable because your flesh needs comfort.

And when comfort is all you seek, you waste your life when you could be growing and evolving.

For those who are called to a spiritual awakening, you have something powerful within you. If you don’t know how to get out of your comfort zone, stop making excuses and take your time into your own hands, make a plan. Read. Write your thoughts and you’ll see what you need to know.

Choose growth over comfort. Choose silence over TV. Stop making excuses and you will do all that you’re called and chosen to do.
