Here’s How to Improve Intuition Despite Persistent Noise and Information Overload.

Harmful external noises and constant mental chatter suppress precious internal voices. What can we do to ignite intuition?

A prominent scientist, Albert Einstein, once said, “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

Intuition is a misunderstood topic having connotations for some people. Regrettably, some of us confuse it with terms such as instinct, impulse, urge, or craving.

Thus, they tend to ignore the unique power of intuition and look for solutions in the wrong places. Even worse, some individuals constantly and imprudently attempt to debunk this unique human capability with diminutive knowledge.

Ironically, some scientists show disapproval of the use of intuition in the literature. Yet, paradoxically, many great scientists and inventors of unique and memorable products have used intuition productively as their primary source of knowledge throughout history.

Besides, massive evidence of the intuitive power of humans is undeniable. This power is within us. We don’t have to create it. But we need to find ways to tune into it.

According to dictionaries, the standard definition of intuition is perceiving or understanding something with feelings and sensations without conscious reasoning.

The definition reflects the true meaning of intuition to some degree. However, my supplement to this definition would be using the subconscious mind and its unique reasoning power.

Intuition is primarily known as gut feelings by people. Nevertheless, whether we admit it or not, we all experience intuition in our lives. It is an innate human capability.

For example, “love at first sight” is a typical manifestation of intuition depicting instant alignment between two people. These people cannot explain the reasons for their intense and instant love, but they experience these forceful emotions and exquisite feelings connecting them at a deep level.

From my experience and observations, intuition happens at a subconscious level incessantly. Patterns and processes form at this level, but we are unaware of them with the conscious mind, especially when it is too busy with internal and external noises.

Every memory is coded in the body and the brain, but we forget them. Nonetheless, the subconscious mind does not forget memories.

Some people, especially experts in various fields, develop remarkable intuitive capabilities. They sense situations earlier and make quick decisions that others cannot explain logically.

These feelings seem to come out of nowhere, but in reality, they come from somewhere we have not yet discovered precisely. Not knowing something does not necessarily refute its existence.

I experienced intuition when I learned to reduce external noise. Interestingly, all my inventive and innovative ideas came to me with intuition.

Usually, I have my aha moments when I feel relaxed, in a meditative mode, or flow state, such as in a warm shower, walking in nature, swimming mindfully, or immersed in a pleasant problem-solving session with guided imagery. It happened to me consistently, like many credible people, as I learned from their biographies.

When connected to our inner voices, we get warning signs coming from deep down, but we cannot find any data backing it up. Some of us get confused when there is no hard evidence. This is where we make mistakes.

Despite these valuable insights, we reject the valuable feelings and regret later when those signs come to reality.

Some scientists characterize manifestations as a potluck, chance, or pure coincidence when people share intuitive feelings after manifesting. However, when we examine the universe closely, everything is connected at a subatomic level in some ways, commonly invisible.

Quantum psychics have already provided some eye-opening explanations. I firmly believe that these concepts will be explained scientifically as we learn more about life energy.

Having a clear mind is the simple secret to initiating intuition. When we clear the clutter and avoid the paralysis of analysis, our subconscious mind reveals more important information patterns. Therefore, meditation and mindful living are essential tools for creating intuition.

Even though not documented precisely in the literature, I see intuition as a muscle that we can train and develop. For example, our intentions can ignite intuitive feelings when we have a clear mind. So, ways to clear our minds and crystalize our intentions can be programmatically practiced.

From our childhood, we use intuition to learn about dangers in life. For example, we don’t touch hot objects even though we never burn ourselves. The subconscious mind creates these patterns from what we hear, observe, and experience in associated situations.

We hear terms like luck, coincidences, synchronicity, and serendipity. Some people cannot make sense of these concepts. But many of us believe in luck. Some people really get lucky.

From my observations, one of the patterns I discovered is peripheral vision. Opening our peripheral vision is proven to create luck in business. Some thought leaders and entrepreneurs pay special attention to creating new business opportunities by improving their peripheral vision by seeing more than straight vision covers.

Serendipity and synchronicity are proven concepts in the body of knowledge. However, our knowledge behind the specific reasons is still very tiny.

Let’s take “felt senses” as an example to explain our intuit control. We know that various regions of the brain make emotional decisions. Some parts of the brain assess emotions and make specific decisions for our survival.

These regions cannot directly or instantly communicate well with other areas dealing with rational thoughts. They connect with the limbic system and the gastrointestinal tract. So, we have felt senses, primarily known as gut feelings. Moreover, emotions come for various reasons, and we don’t understand their meanings instantly.

If intuition is an innate power, why do some of us not feel intuition and struggle in life with flooded stress and anxiety? The answer to this question resides in our problematic lifestyles and unnatural positions not aligning with our nature in this frenetic world.

When too much external noise is combined with mind chatter, our anxiety and stress rise. In these times, feeling intuition becomes almost impossible.

We need a clear mind to feel intuition. Information overload caused by over-consumption of media and exposure to hundreds of bombarded ads can destroy intuitive power. Our nervous system cannot handle such an information explosion. Thus, it consequently shuts down to protect itself.

This type of information explosion creates an unusual and unnatural situation for our body and the brain as we are still primitive creatures in this modern world. As mentioned in this article, our conscious mind can handle only a few bits of information at a given time.

As a result, information overload silences our internal resources. Our wise inner voice and gut feelings become unavailable in this noise. However, we always have intuitive power inside us. It does not disappear entirely. It comes back when we reduce noise and when the brain starts producing gamma waves.

It is impossible to cancel all noise, especially in this modern world, even in nature, but it is possible to reduce it to a level our nervous system can handle. So, the critical skill is to reduce harmful noises as much as possible and tune into the natural sound of the universe and our higher self that can open the intuition channels.

Indisputably, intuition is excellent for making business decisions for competitive advantage, creating mastery, and making scientific breakthroughs. However, the hidden power of intuition is the natural healing supremacy that we can tap into for survival and well-being.
