3 Signs You’re Hurting Deep Inside Your Soul

1. You’re Spiritually Tired All the Time

Soul pain is nothing like physical pain. With physical pain, you know exactly what hurts. When you’re hurting deep within your soul, all you know is that something hurts, and that’s all the information you have. You know very well that something is wrong somewhere, but you can’t put your finger on it.

It’s a feeling like death by suffocation.

Soul pain is an accumulation of negative emotion over many, many lifetimes, or in a single lifetime and it is triggered by life itself.

The fact that you have to keep living a life with no meaning is a trigger and if you feel that way every day, then you're triggered every day.

Soul pain is the kind of pain that causes mental, spiritual, social, and sometimes even physical distress. When you’re in soul pain, life is without meaning and every day is a challenge.

Life doesn’t feel like it will get better and you get tired of the redundant day to day activities. It doesn’t feel like you will ever heal the problem because you don’t even know what the heck is the problem.

All of that makes you physically exhausted all the time, and it’s not the kind of exhaustion that you can cure with a power nap. You wake up early in the morning even after a good night’s sleep and you still feel tired before your day has begun.

That’s not regular tiredness. That’s spiritual tiredness. Your clueless monkey mind will fight to try to understand what’s going on, but it can’t and only leaves you feeling even more drained. This tiredness reflects on your outlook, your well-being and your overall view on life.

You look like you’re just over it.

Because the eyes are the window to the soul, you avoid letting people look you deep in the eyes because you know they will see the emptiness inside of your soul.

You fear they see the hollow inside of you.

You may believe that maybe you’re sick in the head. You may assume it’s mental illness and, in a way, it is, since the soul comprises the mind, will, and emotions.

But what you need when you’re in soul pain isn’t medication. Medication is a cure for the body and will overwhelm and suffocate your soul some more.

What you need is meditation.

Meditation is a powerful cure for the soul and will help your soul come out of the hollow and get some fresh air so you can finally breathe. When you heal your soul’s pain, your body and mind will heal as well.

Because the eyes are the window to the soul, you avoid letting people look you deep in the eyes because you know they will see the emptiness inside of your soul.

2. You Struggle with Negative Emotions

When your soul is in pain, the suffering prevents your soul from growing and evolving. It keeps you stagnant. It prevents you from learning how to deal with your emotions.

It is the soul — mind, will and emotions — that helps us control and regulate our emotions, so when your soul is not well, your mind and your emotions will be all over the place. You fly off the handle without warning. You break down and cry in the middle of the day.

Your “will” grows weaker by the day and you can’t do what you say you’re going to do.

You may tell yourself today you’re going to work on your anger because you know how it holds you back but then you wake up the next morning on the wrong side of the bed, the tiniest thing can make you so angry that it ruins your whole day.

You forget that you said you were going to work on your anger. You have no willpower and so you can't keep your emotions under control.

When this happens enough, it’ll feel like you’re not moving forward in life, and that’s because you don’t do what you say you’re going to do. You don’t follow through with your plans after the initial excitement is over and when you look back on your life and see all the time and energy wasted; it makes you even angrier.

It makes you angry when you see clearly how you’re stuck, but you don’t know how to get out of the cycle and you don’t see a light at the end of the dark tunnel you’re trapped in.

You no longer have hope for better days. You feel as if you’re under a curse you can’t break.

All of that makes you sad and mad all the time and people don’t do much to help.

People only reflect how you feel so you meet people who only trigger the negative emotions in you as the universe's way of trying to help you heal.

But it’ll feel like torture.

You’ll feel tired always having to put on a fake face and a fake smile to get people to stop asking why you look so sad or why you’re so mad. You smile even though you feel like death on the inside.

You pretend to be okay when talking to people, but secretly you wish they'd get out of your face so you can feel what you’re really feeling.

Many people experience soul pain because they’ve neglected themselves. They neglect themselves and they take care of everything and everyone else. They do this because they are good people and want to help everyone.

They’re selfless but at the expense of their own soul.

There’s nothing wrong with being nice or trying to help others, but you must help yourself first. You must save yourself before trying to save someone else. You must care for yourself before attempting to care for another person.

You can’t love anyone else if you don’t love yourself.

It is the soul that helps us control and regulate our emotions, so when your soul is not well, your mind and your emotions will be all over the place.

3. You Feel Lonely All The Time

People don’t make you feel less lonely. You feel lonely no matter what you’re doing and with who. You can be around your entire family and still feel so lonely that it hurts. Because of this, you don't even see the point of being around people, so you just be alone with yourself.

You'd rather be by yourself because people trigger your negative emotions. They don’t make you feel better; they make you feel worse. People don't help.

People always want to ask you what’s wrong and other intrusive questions and you hate it because you don’t even know what’s wrong. You don’t know what the problem is and even if you were to respond, you wouldn’t know what to tell them because you don’t know the problem.

All of that just reminds you of how bad your life really is, so you just stay away and be by yourself where you won’t be interrogated or triggered. When you’re alone, you can be with your thoughts in peace without others interrupting your thinking.

Thinking and sometimes not thinking takes you away from the present moment.

You find it difficult to immerse in the present moment because you're disconnected from your soul. When you’re disconnected from your soul, you dwell on the past or the future because the present is always too sad, too annoying, too overwhelming, or too lonely.

Your body may be present, but your mind travels to past moments or possible future timelines where it feels better.

When you're in the present moment, you feel as if you’re suffocating and your soul is crying out for change. You’re tired of doing the same things the exact same way and deep down, you need a refresher.

Your soul craves change.

If you’re experiencing soul pain, don’t feel as if you can’t heal your pain. You can. The fact that you can feel all that pain means your soul is trying to get your attention so you can address the problem.

Growth arises from pain, and pain turns into purpose.

The best thing you can do for your soul is to do something different. You have to try to break out of the rut or you’ll get stuck in it. Be spontaneous and do something you wouldn’t normally do.

Take your soul out on a trip or a thrill.

There’s no such thing as soul pain. Your soul is sitting in the darkness in the corner somewhere in your psyche, bored out of its mind. That’s all this is about and what’s causing the pain.

Your soul wants a change.

Give your soul an outlet to come forth and breathe. Shake your soul into healing with passion and purpose.

It’s really hard to live a life when you have no idea what you’re doing here and why you’re even here. Life sucks when you don’t know what you’re passionate about and what your purpose is.

When you know your purpose, you’ll know what you’re supposed to and not supposed to be doing. This is why it's extremely important when you find yourself stuck to find your purpose so you can put distance between yourself and the things that bring you down.

Once you know where you want to go, what you want to get there and how, you will be so preoccupied that you’ll not have time to be feeling so lonely all the time. You won't be spiritually tired because the soul will be finally out in the light doing what it loves to do. And negative emotions will be checked quick when your mind and will are strong and healed.
