Summary

The website content discusses the signs and significance of intuition and how it differs from ego.

Abstract

The article "3 Signs Your Intuition is Trying to Tell You Something" explores the concept of intuition as a guiding force in life, contrasting it with the protective yet limiting nature of the ego. It outlines three key signs that indicate intuition is at work: the presence of synchronicities and signs, a sense of certainty in uncertain situations, and persistent thoughts or feelings that don't fade. The text emphasizes that while the ego may cause fear and hesitation, intuition offers calm guidance and assurance, often communicating through recurring numbers, dreams, and a deep inner knowing. The author uses personal anecdotes and metaphors to illustrate the importance of distinguishing between ego and intuition, encouraging readers to trust their intuitive insights for personal growth and to fulfill their soul's purpose.

Opinions

  • The ego is seen as a protective mechanism that can drown out the subtler voice of intuition with its louder, fear-based rhetoric.
  • Intuition is described as a wise and reliable inner guidance system that communicates through synchronicities, certainty amidst uncertainty, and persistent thoughts or dreams.
  • Synchronicities are viewed as meaningful coincidences that are too significant to be dismissed as random, serving as the universe's way of conveying messages.
  • The article suggests that the soul communicates important messages through repetitive numbers and dreams, which should not be ignored.
  • Trusting one's intuition, despite the fear and uncertainty that may accompany such a leap of faith, is portrayed as essential for personal fulfillment and alignment with one's soul's path.
  • The author posits that differentiating between ego and intuition is crucial and that intuition will never instill fear, but rather a sense of calm and clarity.
  • The text implies that by silencing the ego and listening to intuition, individuals can achieve their highest potential and live a life aligned with their true purpose.

Synchronicity, certainty, and repetition

1. You’re Getting Signs and Synchronicity

Ego will be quick to say signs and synchronicities are just what the mind was looking for and therefore found it. Why is ego so troublesome? Well, ego can be a problem, but it isn’t a problem.

It means well.

The ego is just a scaredy-cat that doesn’t want you to get hurt. When intuition whispers “Jump,” the ego will yell, “Don’t do it! You’ll break a leg!” Literally.

Because the ego is always so loud and uses many words, it can tune out the voice of intuition which is always calm and subtle. Ego is your defense mechanism and will almost always stop you from taking risks. It wants to keep you safe. But in the name of protecting you, it holds you back.

Ego can get in the way of intuition, which is almost always right.

Intuition or gut feeling is your body’s natural guidance system. It’s a means of telling you something is right or wrong. Ego may be loud and vicious, but intuition is wise and knows how to get your attention.

It’ll bring you signs and synchronicities to help relay a message.

What are synchronicities?

Synchronicity is a series of events that happen in a way that seems out of the ordinary. They are the “What are the odds moments.”

For example, you turn on the radio and the lyrics to the song playing are the same thoughts you were just thinking or the words you just read on a billboard? Or thinking about your best friend and they texting you right then and there?

What are the odds?

It’s the work of your intuition. It happens when your inner and outer worlds align.

It is the way the soul tries to communicate important messages to us. Your intuition is always there to guide you in the right direction, but sometimes you miss or ignore the signs and synchronicities.

That's always a shame, but your resistance to get the message doesn't stop your intuition from trying to help you. It can also use numbers.

Numbers are signs.

How many times have you looked at the clock and seen 11:11, 9:11, 12:12 right when you were thinking of something very important?

Regardless of what you believe, these numbers aren't random. They aren’t just mere coincidences. They are the language of the universe. It is the most common way the soul communicates.

The souls know that if you see 9:11 on the clock several times in a row, you will be forced to pay attention. You will google it and search for the meaning and it may be just what you need to hear.

Your intuition is always there to guide you in the right direction, but sometimes you miss or ignore the signs and synchronicities.

2. You’re Certain Even When Other Aspects of a Situation is Uncertain

Intuition, by nature, is not logical. It sometimes doesn't even make sense, but it's almost always right.

Ego would tell a baby bird that it’d fall and break a wing if it attempts to fly. It'd tell him to go back into its shell where it's safe. But intuition knows growth doesn't happen in the shell. Intuition will urge the baby bird to spread its wings and fly! A baby bird never breaks its wings when it first attempts to fly. It opens its wings just as it's about to hit the ground and it flies!

While your ego is there to keep you safe, your intuition wants you to go after your dreams. Intuition wants you to reach your highest potential.

When I decided to quit my job in 2020 and pursue writing, it was very scary. Despite the fact that I was afraid, I was 100% sure that was what I needed to do. I had never been so sure of anything in my life.

Friends told me not to do it because I had bills to pay. They said a job is safe, but my intuition whispered great things into my ears. It said writing is what I came here to do and I shouldn't be afraid.

So I quit.

I quit, and my intuition was right. This is exactly what I came here to do. I know this is my soul’s path to be a bridge, educating people on important spiritual matters and spreading light in everything I write.

Despite the fear and uncertainty, there was a certain certainty.

That certainty in an uncertain situation was my intuition speaking and reassuring me that the universe had my back and everything that had consciousness was conspiring to help me achieve my goals.

Intuition is from the depths of the soul.

It was so clear to me and I was confident about the matter as if I already knew that I’d be just fine. I spread my wings and soared higher than I had ever done, and I love my new life

The soul already knows the way. It is more evolved and focused on your highest good.

While your ego is there to keep you safe, your intuition wants you to go after your dreams.

3. The Thought or Feeling Never Goes Away

Intuition is a thought, knowing, or feeling. It’s the first instinct you have about any given situation and it can be a powerful guiding force. Just as the ego is stubborn, intuition is persistent. It never gives up.

Intuition never stops. Even if you ignore it, it'll show up in different ways.

If you notice that your brain circles back to a particular thought or feeling, then you might want to look into the matter further.

There may be times where you can manage to get a thought out of your head, but then you go to sleep and it shows up in your dreams. While most of the things we dream about are a result of our fears and anxiety, there are some dreams that are messages straight from the soul.

You have a strong feeling that this isn’t a processing dream, because you just can’t shake it.

When you’re awake, your ego is active and aggressive. It’s therefore very hard to hear your intuition, but when you fall asleep, your ego also goes to sleep. When you sleep, your ego stops controlling your thoughts and allows your intuition to come to the front of your mind with messages.

A dream is a small hidden door in the deepest parts of your soul that peaks into the cosmos. Almost every time you have the same type of dream over and over again, it’s your intuition trying to tell you something.

Your intuition will use sleep times to its advantage by presenting the same messages to bring your attention to something. You shouldn't ignore recurring dreams because they may have something very important to tell you.

Your ego will always try to interfere with your dream messages if you haven’t tamed it. It’ll try to interfere with anything that doesn’t make sense. You have put the ego in the backseat and let the soul get in the driver’s seat. It knows the way.

You have to learn how to tell ego from intuition because the ego has a sneaky way of disguising itself as intuition. Learning how to differentiate between the ego and intuition takes time.

It takes trust in yourself, which can be hard when you’re scared, but it's quite simple. The ego is always loud. When ego speaks, you feel fearful and unsure. Ego will always make you feel afraid. It'll tell you your kid will get hit by a car and die if you allow him or her to go out and play. You'll be terrified, and that's how you know it’s not your intuition speaking.

Your intuition is subtle and will never make you afraid. When intuition speaks you feel calm and you have a sense of clarity. Intuition will tell you to just educate your kid to look both ways when crossing the street. Intuition never gives you something to stress over. It calms anxious thoughts.
