How to Overcome Major Blockages in Your Life

You can only overcome if you can be brutally honest with yourself

I. The Blockage Is in The Story

There are some areas of our lives where everything is a breeze. We want it and we get it and we get it easily and effortlessly. No struggles, no hassles, and heart desires are served to us on a silver platter.

Whatever we ask for is given to us.

But some other areas of our lives are like a Catch 22. We want it but we can’t get it. We pull, push, kick, knock, fight, scream, cry and still, we don’t get it.

No matter what we do, we can’t manifest for shit!

It’s frustrating, and that’s how I felt for a very long time.

I felt like people did not see me. It felt like I was invisible. I could work my ass off and still not see any positive results. I could do everything I was supposed to do and then some and still not see success.

Life was a constant struggle to get ahead.

I found myself in jobs that overlooked me for the promotion that I worked so hard for and deserved. The girl who did the bare minimum would get the promotion because… because I don’t know!

I manifested men who couldn’t see me. I could be the most gorgeous woman among two women and the man would choose the other woman who didn’t look half as good because I don’t fucking know!

I could be laying in bed with a man, falling apart on the inside and they still wouldn’t see me.

It was sad and mind-boggling. No matter what I did, I felt unseen. I often asked myself what was wrong with me.

I felt unheard too. I could talk to a person and they’d just keep doing what they were doing as if they couldn't hear me.

Life was hard.

It felt like my star was hidden. It wasn’t shining and so I wasn't. I told myself the enemy had stolen my light. Every time I said my light was stolen, it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. It became my reality and my identity.

I became the girl whose star was hidden and with that thought came a lot of negative belief systems.

I believed my own lies.

My lies became my truth. No one could see me. I lived like a ghost. I was invisible.

Your identity is tied to the beliefs and the stories you tell yourself.

II. Brutal Honesty Is the Only Way Out

Do you feel blocked in an area of your life? Do you keep trying and yet you can’t seem to get that area of your life moving forward? Yeah? Then it’s your turn to be honest.

What’s your story?

What’s the story you tell yourself about the area of your life?

If you can be brutally honest to yourself, it'll open your eyes to see why certain things are the way they are. It’ll reveal a lot about why you’re experiencing blockages in that area.

What do you keep saying to yourself?

If you feel blocked in your finances, do you tell yourself that money is hard to get and you must work your ass off to make just a bit? Do you tell yourself that you just can’t hold on to your hard-earned money because there’s always an unexpected expense?

When you struggle to find love, do you tell yourself that true love is just not possible for you? Do you think to yourself that you’ll never ever find love because this world is full of fucked up traumatized people who refuse to heal? Do you tell yourself that everyone you get with just wants to hit it and quit it, and then they hit it and quit it?

What do you say to yourself when things don’t go your way? If you can be honest, you can get out of it. You can get out because all you’d have to do is change that story and create a new identity.

That’s what I did.

You have to let go of not just the story, but also the identity you are holding on to

III. Creating a New Story And Identity

Our identity is tied to the beliefs and the stories we tell ourselves. When I was telling myself that nobody truly saw me and that my star was hidden, I was identifying with that story and so it became my identity.

To overcome a blockage, you have to let go of the story you tell yourself. You have to let go of not just the story, but also the identity you are holding on to that’s keeping you blocked.

You have to be willing to change your view of who you are as a person. It would require you to change the way you see yourself. You must change and reorganize what it means to be you and establish a new identity that’s not based on fear, lack, or separation.

This is the most difficult because anytime we try to change an aspect of ourselves that is deeply rooted in our identity, it can feel unfamiliar and uncomfortable.

Because of this, it’s so easy to self-sabotage and go back to the old story.

I refused to go back to the old story. I created a new story that felt good on the inside. I started telling myself that the right people see my light. They see the god and the good in me. They see my hard work and appreciate me for it.

And it was so.

I told myself I’m seen, and I started believing it.

When I changed the story I was telling myself, it changed the way I saw myself. The moment I started feeling seen is the moment the world started seeing me.

I’m seen and heard wherever I go because I have this energy about me. My aura travels miles away and my star? My star shines as brightly as ever and my light is the lamp on people’s paths!

I overcame my blockage because I changed the story and my identity.

The moment I started feeling seen is the moment the world started seeing me.

IV. Final Thoughts

I overcame my blockage because I was honest with myself. Honesty revealed to me my thoughts and beliefs and what was keeping me stuck in a negative pattern.

I dug out all the false stories — each and every one of them — and I changed them. Changing the stories changed my identity.

I snapped out of it because they were all lies!

As I grew in my spirituality and arrived at a place of neutrality, I could just sit back and observe myself without judgment. I captured the crazy, silly lies my ego was identifying with and refuted them with the truths my soul was whispering to me.

I stopped identifying with my egoic identity and released all attachment to those false stories. I established a new identity that was not based on fear, lack, and separation.

Instead, I felt love, abundant, and one with the universe.

I overcame many blockages and changed my external world, all because I changed my inner dialogue. I rearranged and reorganized my inner world, did the inner healing work, and the external world followed suit.

Every door opened, and I walked through with no restrictions. No more blockages on my path.

If you can be brutally honest with yourself about the stories you tell yourself, you can overcome any and every blockage in your path.
