Uncle Google Steps In Elevating My Geometry Dash Story When Medium’s Algorithm Played Coy
An Essential Gaming Update Lost in the Medium Glitch, Leaving Gamers in the Dark But Silver Lining in the Offing

Been jamming on Geometry Dash since 2014, but let me tell you, I’ve never seen this level of hype! It’s like a blend of the game’s massive mobile success (5 million downloads on Google Play Store) and RobTop’s own hype factory. The studio’s got a Twitter following of over 2 million, and that update trailer? It hit a solid million views on YouTube. It’s like the game got a turbo boost
For the uninitiated, Geometry Dash isn’t just your regular game — it’s a sensation! Think rhythm-based platformer meets mind-bending geometric graphics. You’re in control of a square-shaped character tackling crazy obstacles, spikes, and traps. Picture this: jumping, flying, flipping, all in perfect sync with the beat of the music. It’s like a dance party meets extreme gaming!
As you keep leveling up in the game, the difficulty skyrockets, demanding ninja-like precision and lightning-fast reflexes to push forward. It’s that addictive gameplay — plus the user-created levels and customization options — that’s got gamers all over the place hooked and obsessing over Geometry Dash. I will write a new story about its great features for new gamers, and this time will make it a boostable story.
What happened 5 days ago?
Five days ago, it was chaos in my gaming universe!
My gaming Discord felt like it was channeling its inner hacker vibe and heading for a crash landing.
Suddenly, my gaming buddies were pinging me like it was the end of the world. I was on vacation with ‘no work’ plans, I heroically sacrificed my precious sleep and joined the uproar.
The morning after that wild night, I found myself furiously typing away to share the epic tale on Medium, hoping to reach out to 1.4 million gaming followers on this platform.
Results?

Out of a whopping 1.4 million gaming enthusiasts following the topic, only 32 lucky souls stumbled upon it in the last four days. It’s like my post was on a super exclusive vacation — only a few got the golden ticket to check it out!

If you’re a gamer and somehow missed it, here’s the link to the story.
Fingers crossed that some of my Medium Friends stumble upon this and give it an 825% boost, just like they did with my Counter-Strike story!

Silver Lining
But hey, here’s the silver lining — good ol’ Uncle Google decided to shine a light on it today, giving it a sweet feature alongside a flashy description that caught the eye of Android readers as it did to my viral story before.
Here’s how my glitching Medium story was featured on Android devices.

My Strategic Move for Geometry Dash Story

Alright, so here’s my sneaky master plan.
I relocated the story from Gigantic ILLUMINATION to my cozy pub ILLUMINATION Gaming, strategically positioning it next to the tales of my gaming buddies, Seda Anbarcı and Lucian Ioan Chirilă.
Hoping their epic stories bring in some good ol’ storytelling luck for me

The Sad Part in My Gaming Saga on Medium
Well, here’s the fun twist to this saga: Until last August, I was rocking the gaming world, sitting pretty at the top — #1 or #2 in the gaming topic!
Writing around 800 gaming stories in the last two years, dropping one or two juicy tales each day, but hold your laughter because here comes the plot twist!

The algorithm decided to play musical chairs and selected only four lucky souls for the Gaming topic, followed by 1.4 million people on Medium, kicking me off the list without so much as a “see you later”! Why can’t it add me as a prolific gaming writer and a gaming pub owner? Maybe it requires a manual and human intervention by dear Medium Staff.

And hey, even though I’m like the Energizer Bunny of gaming writers, churning out interesting and valuable content and boosting like it’s an Olympic sport, the algorithm’s reasons for this vanishing act are unknown.
But it’s probably a glitch in the matrix! Imagine millions of stories swarming around, making the algorithm go, “Whoa, hold up, what’s happening?” It’s like a whirlwind of chaos, leaving the poor algorithm scratching its head, going, “Wait, where did I put that gaming genius?”
It’s the classic case of too much buzz causing a bit of algorithmic confusion and a lot of head-scratching. It’s like a magic trick but with less magic and way more confusion!
My New Year’s Wish for This Story
I’m really hoping that just like my previous viral story, ‘Uncle Google’ once more nudges Medium’s sleepy algorithm and gets this crucial news to the gaming community.
I can’t help but wonder if this algorithm has dozed off due to festive season fatigue or perhaps had a bit too much of that festive drink!

For those who missed my Vocal saga, here is the link. I hope new writers don’t make the same mistake I made for 18 months.
Those who missed the drama of my being cloned can read it from this link.
Now, let’s give a warm welcome to these new writers. I believe they will be part of my curated collections soon. I already explored some of their stories published in other publications.
New writers, when you need help, please don’t hesitate to contact me on Slack workspace or Discord server. I introduce these services below.
