How to strengthen and recharge your root chakra

The Chakras are the energy centers in the body through which massive amounts of energy flow. The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel.’

It is literally a wheel of spinning energy vortex aligned inside the human body.

There are seven chakras and all of them serve a purpose. They are governed by spiritual laws and principles that we can use to cultivate greater harmony, happiness, and overall well-being.

The chakras are recharged through contact with the stream of energy found all around us. Through water. Through earth. Through air and through fire.

What Is The Root Chakra?

The root chakra is the first chakra. It is associated with the color red and is located at the base of the spine.

It is the chakra closest to earth and therefore concerned with earthly grounding and physical survival.

It is associated with the legs and feet, so it controls our fight-or-flight response. It relates to the ground, water, animals, and nature.

When this chakra is weak, we are as light as a feather. Our heads are in the clouds, and we are easily blown away by the wind.

And when the storm comes, it washes us away.

When The Root Chakra is Blocked

When this chakra is blocked, it may manifest as paranoia, fear, procrastination, and defensiveness.

We may feel as if we don’t belong. We feel insecure and, therefore, unstable.

When this chakra is blocked, it is easy for us to listen to the negative voice in our head. We act upon our negative thoughts and feelings, which makes things worse.

There may be a fear of the future and fears of the unknown. We doubt ourselves and others. We put off important projects. We start things and leave them incomplete.

How to Strengthen The Root Chakra

The easiest way to strengthen the root chakra is by walking barefoot on rich soil or grass. By putting your earth and absorbing some of the earth’s positive energy while releasing the negative to be transmuted. Everything is energy.

It can also be done by dancing in slow circles like the divine feminine. Like the mother.

We strengthen it by connecting to the divine feminine that is found in every man and woman.

We strengthen our root chakra by using our intuition. When our root chakra is active, we are better able to face and conquer our fears. We avoid procrastinating and get the work done!

Our intuition helps us see the path our soul wants us to take. It shows us to go within.

When we connect to our inner child and forgive him/her for what he/she didn’t know, we strengthen this chakra.

The child in us is happy and therefore assists us on the road to success.

When we listen to our intuition, connect to the earth or the mother that gives and supports life, and flow with the feminine energy that moves through all of us, and also the child that lives within us, we recharge, strengthen, and align the root chakra with the other chakras.

The earth then holds us down when the wind blows. The mother protects us when the storm comes. We ride with the wind without being blown away. We still peek our heads into the clouds because of curiosity, but always know how to get back to the ground.

When we are kind to ourselves, love ourselves, and be there for ourselves no matter what, we experience a happier, more fulfilling life.

This is the first step to strengthening the physical and spiritual body.

Final Thoughts

Don't be dismayed if you have reason to believe your root chakra is blocked. It's no worries! That's what you've got your other chakras for. When one is weak the other is strong.

I've had a blocked Root chakra so many times and dealt with fear and doubt. But I was also told during those times that I had a very strong Crown chakra.

When my root is weak, my crown keeps my head up. That's how strong our souls and bodies are. They watch out for us.

All we need to do is tune in and they will tell us everything we need to know.
