Sparks №19: Envisioning Yourself in a New Year
A weekly newsletter from Flint & Steel

“No one else will ever see your dream until YOU envision it. See it and they’ll see it too.” ― Toni Sorenson, The Great Brain Cleanse
We are almost upon a new year. Take some time in these last few days of 2021 to sit down in a quiet space with no one around, even if only for a few minutes.
Close your eyes, envision how you want to be feeling a year from now, in the same spot you are now sitting. Not what your goals are, but how are you feeling?
Start by writing how you feel right now. Do you want to feel the same a year from now? If not, why? What do you need to do to make yourself feel the way you think you should?
Sketch your thoughts on paper. Settle into it and see where it takes you. Specific goals you MUST focus on? Things you must shed in this new year?
What is robbing you of your time and energy? How can you change that?
It’s okay if you feel stuck at this moment. But allow yourself a few minutes to envision yourself a year from now and pay attention to the details.
By opening yourself up now, ideas may flood your mind and soul later. When that happens, grab a piece of a paper and a pen!
