Meaning of Engagement for Writers
1118 writers are engaging on ILLUMINATION!

Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, but working together is success. — Henry Ford

Importance of Engagement for Writers
I have been conversing with many of our writers on our Slack channel and other communication channels. I also interviewed several writers recently. Through these conversations, a clear pattern emerged. All successful writers emphasize the importance of engagement for their success. Collaboration tops the list as a success factor for writers.
We know that engaging with other writers open doors to collaboration and is an ideal approach to create serendipitous encounters. I mentioned the importance of creating visibility for writers on my editorial bulletin yesterday. One of the best ways to create visibility is by engaging with other writers.
ILLUMINATION makes it easy to connect with other writers and engage in their content. Our experienced writers provide several prompts for exciting topics. New writers can take benefit of these collaborative writing games. New writers can improve the quality and quantity of their stories by engaging with experienced writers. Cross-pollination is a vital strategy used for the success of our writers on ILLUMINATION.
It was inspiring to read a story from one of our experienced writers Desiree Driesenaar who guides our new writers. You can read the story from the attached link.
Challenge to Experienced Writers
As a collaboration activity, I recommend each experienced writer to create at least one story with a writing prompt and invite several new writers to participate. I also recommend new writers to solicit feedback on their stories. Our Slack channel is an ideal platform to support this collaboration.
We developed several innovative tools and processes for collaboration. I will introduce you a few new exercises in my upcoming bulletins. In the meantime, let’s enhance our cross-pollination as a nurturing publication to provide high-quality service to our readers. We offer abundant creativity, insights, and entertainment for our readers. With our unified diversity, meaningful words and stories, we aim to change the world to a better place to live.
