🌟✨This month’s prompt is all about Winter nights. Tell me how winter nights make you feel in a poem.🌟✨
The next prompt will be coming up on Jan 15th.

💥💥I asked Canva Image to create an image for imaginative poetry. The image above showed up. What do you think about this image? If you could create an image that would describe poetry what would it look like?

Beautiful words looking ahead by Lisa Precious / Smiley Blue
“Not you, nor anyone to decide, I choose forward, back, left, or right. All I know is never to lose sight, Even if it takes all my might.”
Lovely words from Libby Shively McAvoy that made me smile as imagining the lovely hot water and bubbles.
“Cold air and hot bubbles Melted away all my troubles”
Thank you for answering the call for the poetry prompt Allisonn Church
“in December, cool and clear and calm; sky wide open so the sounds spread and scatter, so the stars tumble down — “

Winter Moments from Dr. Gabriella Korosi
“Today my heart is filled with sadness. For all those suffering across many continents. For all the women, children, and men.”
“Singing a song From the depths of the heart.”
“The empty space — Cuts its edge like a sharp knife.
My body brings warmth, Then shivers as it folds within the unknown.”
Thank you for the lovely words from Enes Cevik
“You and I. A butterfly. You and I. The vibrant sky.”

Poetry by Garima Sharma
“Observe, absorb, and let knowledge flow, For talking alone won’t help us grow.”
Wisdom — A Poem. You are wise. | by Garima Sharma | Dancing Elephants Press | Dec, 2023 | Medium
How do you express your feelings? Another lovely poem from Garima Sharma. We are imperfectly perfect. And that is ok let’s embrace each other for who we are.
“Supporting one another, now and forever. So let’s embrace our imperfections, And celebrate our shared connections.”
Amazing words of encouragement by Garima Sharma, highly recommended.
Poetry by My mind — beautiful words about what life is.
“Life is a journey a winding road A tale that unfolds a story to be told. A dance of moments both big and small In the grand tapestry, we’re threads not all.”
You Ask Me What Is Life?. I say life is… | by My mind | Dancing Elephants Press | Dec, 2023 | Medium
Read these emotionally charged words from Chris McCumskey- Part Time Writer & Published Poet. I also recommend reading the story he has linked in the bottom of his poem. Heartbreaking and amazing what a human spirit can take.
“Our summer will come
of this I am certain.
Until then I’m alone.
Again.”
New poetic words from Phyllis Haynes that are sensual and very descriptive.
“Sun peeked in a bare shoulder glistened Stretching beyond the realm of sleep”
Beautiful words from Gabriela Trofin-Tatár
“Magic in our travels, magic in our hearts, Children’s laughter, cries, tears, love, and trust.”
Poetry by Sam Letterwood
“In love, I’ve tripped over my heart’s own beat, Romance for me is a comedic feat. I once tried a serenade beneath the moon, But the cat meowed louder, stole my sweet tune.”
Alison McBain looks at her year in a poetry form.
“Love of our family has spurred us to Make a fresh start — No one knows that better than me. Only when I look at the distances traveled, Perhaps there is a bit of regret about Quite how much we’ve left behind.”
Poetry from Warren Brown is all about the magic of the raindrops.
“Every idea is like a delicate rain drop, That is ready to dissolve into water, If not collected and held in a cup or glass. Every new idea is so delicate and rare, It can create a story beyond compare.”
More magical words from Warren Brown
“There are writers who express their ideas rare, It is like honey and magic that is beyond compare.”
More magic from Warren Brown when he writes about our last day of the year.
A beautiful poem from Amna Fayyaz that melts the heart of a poet.
“So let the words softly flow In the language of love let emotions grow. A beloved poem a gift of love In every word your heart entwined.”
Your Beloved. Love is all we need | by Amna Fayyaz | Dancing Elephants Press | Dec, 2023 | Medium
A lovely poem from Buddhi Ruparathna about love.
“with the heartbeat just in sync,
and the peace of the mind…”
A love like this… — Dancing Elephants Press — Medium
I love these words from Buddhi:
“Let us live, as how it used to be,
the old fashioned way.” — her poem takes us back to simple times and to appreciate what we have.
A beautiful poem and song to the flowing river by LC Lynch
“Swept up in the river no matter our dreams hesitation still falls down clear running streams”
From Nancy Stephan
“Without looking back, I ran through woods and creeks and bushes and hills.”
Raechel “Rael Thymes” brings us nighttime moments with beautiful lines.
“As the storm clears
So do my worst fears
The stars illuminate the way
It’s all going to be okay”
Welcome Lena Hadi with her first poem
“Love is a melody soft and serene A lullaby that plays a love so keen.”
Thank you so much for reading this poetry round-up.
