I have almost four* months of Medium. A lot of things happened here. And I know that a lot has to happen.

This is why I want to keep track of them.

This article will be like a journal for the milestones I will reach here.

Whenever I reach one of those written, I will update the article by checking those I accomplish and then add new ones.

Additionally, if any other milestones come to mind, I will add them too.

I had this idea for two weeks before writing it.

I thought it was enough, so here I am!

The big money on Medium:

  • The first dollar — this happened in December; ✅
  • The first payout ✅

— I had it in January (38$, after I made 42$ in December). Even though I made the first money in November, it came to my bank together with my second payment because it was only a few cents;

  • First 50$ ✅

— I have reached it today (18th of January);

  • First 100$ on Medium ✅

— I am almost there (18th of January);

— I got it a few days later;

  • First 200$ on Medium ✅

— in progress;

— no more in progress since the 10th of February;

  • first 500$ on Medium — in progress;
  • First 1000$ on Medium — in progress;
  • 100$ in one month ✅

— I thought I could reach it this month (January), but I still have 13 days more;

— I celebrated this milestone on the 14th of February;

  • 200$ in one month — It is reachable;
  • 500$ in one month — Now I say it is pretty hard to reach it;
  • 1000$ in one month — dreams, baby, dreams.

— I got it on the 17th of November;

— I published the 20th article in a single month on the 20th of February — what a coincidence.

— I think it will happen by the end of the month;

— Yes, it happened!

  • 1000 reads in one month✅

— for some, this is a small number, but for me, it is a pretty big one;

— The 23rd of February was the big day when this happened;

  • 100 reads on a single article ✅

— I got it, but I missed the exact moment;

  • 200 reads on a single article ✅

— same here, but I know it happened in February on this article;

  • 500 reads on a single article — in progress;

Claps for a single article:

I think it’s ok not to start with small numbers.

  • 1000 claps ✅
  • — I thought it was hard, but I got them two or three days ago — three articles have this number of claps;
  • 2000 claps ✅
  • — now that I have checked the stories, I got them too for this article:
  • 5000 claps — reachable;

Number of followers

Oh, I just remembered I don’t have follower milestones, haha! (the 5th of February)

Until now, I have found Medium quite captivating and challenging.

Efforts have to be made.

It’s important to write but also to read and engage with others.

I plan to update this article from time to time.

This is useful because I can see where I am and what I have to do more to grow.
