I couldn’t wait to write this post. Haha!

2023 has finally ended, and along with it, my second month on Medium.

I want to tell you that I am pleasantly surprised, both by myself and by the platform.

First two weeks of December

Disappointed with the results from November, in the first two weeks of December (more precisely, the 4th), I posted only one article.

So, in 17 days (because my latest post was on the 17th of November), I posted ONLY ONE ARTICLE! And then stopped again until the 13th. That was another eight days when Medium cried after me.

Imagine that!

CRAZYYYYYYYY!

But on the 13th, something happened. And I will tell you later what. That something made me start writing again.

The craziest part is that I started to post twice per day.

This, my dear reader, is something unimaginable.

From 1 post in 25 days to 2 posts per day for me is incredible.

Ok, enough with this!

13–31 December — first big lesson

These days were great for me. That ‘something’ that made me write again is the MOTIVATION I got from other writers’ stories.

And it wouldn’t happened if I hadn’t become more present on the platform.

I started to read more and engage more with people.

This would be the first lesson (learned from November) and a game changer.

December’s results

Now comes the most awaited part.

From 13 to 31, I managed to post 15 articles. Taking into consideration the one from the 4th, I have a total of

16 articles the entire month. For me, this is good, and I am thrilled I could do it;
Story stats: 337 views and 143 reads (511% and 640% growth compared to November.

Just wow! Trust me when I tell you I did not expect that. For me, this is good money. Imagine in November, I had 0.60$. Haha!

What could I have done better this month?

Post during the entire month. Not only a part of it.
My titles need to be better. I still don’t know how to create better titles.

I am saying this because my earnings had a good start as soon as I started to post, but the last days of December were low. And I conclude this because of the titles.

What have I done well? (What I am thankful for)?

Throw away my laziness and started to post more;
I have read and supported a lot (I think I spent more time on these than on writing);
The number of followers has increased unexpectedly.
I became more motivated.

The second big lesson concluded from December is that

effort pays out.

You can’t expect results without doing nothing. And never think that your efforts will mean nothing.
