Deep Dive Prompt: Spice up Your Creativity

Observe, Stare and Write

Several months ago, I started to post every now and then a prompt called “ Deep Dive” to create bridges with other fellow writers, open discussions, exchange experiences, and a safe place to safely share writings, minutes, and parts of the heart.

Today I have a new prompt for you.

The focus today is to spice up your creativity and find new sources of inspiration for a new article. How Can we do that? Let us go directly to the prompt.

The prompt steps depend on you: Are you more visual or auditory?

If you are visual, have a look at some pictures or keep your eyes open while walking or doing daily stuff or while watching a scene in a movie, a YouTube or Tiktok video, an Instagram post, an interesting billboard, or a watercolor painting. This can be a spark to provoke some stories inside you.

If you are a more auditory person, then listening to some music or songs is what you need to do. Many times, listening to familiar pieces evokes memories, nostalgia, emotions..etc Writing about the past with a present lens is captivating. You will be like a tourist walking inside an old temple or among ruins. Do not forget, dear tourist, to bring your notebook to write in.

On the contrary, unfamiliar music could be a good way to stimulate thinking in new ways.

It is totally up to you to choose

Now the prompt consists of the following:

1- Share the picture, the piece of music, etc… that evokes the article.

2- The idea and the story you write

Remember: You can be as creative as you want and as crazy as you desire.

A week from now, I will publish the highlights of this prompt with interesting quotes and all the links to the articles of fellow writers who would like to join this prompt.

How to participate

2. Answer all the questions. If you struggle to find only one answer, don’t worry, you can add more.

4. Publish your article.
