Highlights of Writing: Deep Dive Prompt

Last week I posted Deep Dive into Writing," raising questions about writing, its process, and its rituals. etc
I am so happy that many of my fellow writers dedicate time, effort, and love to join the prompt, share with us part of their hearts, and show us the life in the creativity bubble we sit in to construct a world of letters and words.
In this article, I am posting all the articles with some quotes and highlights. This is also an invitation to read what you might find interesting. Sometimes inspiration hides in the shadow of a phrase or a sentence, and reading is a tool to find the gold scattered between full stops and commas.
Let us start with the writers who joined the prompt:
Moving to the creativity bank on a bridge of sugar and caffeine
“ After a cookie and coffee, I’ll write diligently for about 15 minutes due to the sugar and caffeine. But if I’ve had an egg with rye bread toast and a cup of tea, I’m good for as long as it takes. I write best when I’m in a healthy frame of body and mind.” Patricia Timmermans
Light Bulb Moment!
“ Occasionally, something in the news makes me so livid, I just have to vent. Other times, I just have a light-bulb moment. If I am away from my workspace, I often note the idea in an email and sent it to myself to reflect on later!” Jacqui Smith
The Past and the Prompts
“I write about my life experiences, mostly things from the past." So I rely on my memory, old diaries, and journals. These days, I respond to a lot of writing prompts. "Some are easy, and others are very difficult.” Autistic Widower ("AJ")
The buried ideas in the backyard
“I have a special place in the backyard where I have buried ideas for stories for centuries ahead." "Whenever I need a story, I grab the axe and dig out one.” Nevena Pascaleva
It starts with pictures
“I love photography and try to use my own pictures as much as possible." "Sometimes the photo comes first, and the story evolves from the picture.” Michael Rhodes
To swim in a pool of ideas!
“Sometimes I write on my phone while floating in my pool.” Adrienne Beaumont
Writer`s block is not my thing!
“ I don’t think I’ve experienced writer’s block since I’ve jumped back into writing daily.” Jennifer Burke Grehan
I am secure under the rain of poetry!
“ Poetry can be obscure, especially when we start creating in metaphors that hold hidden meanings. I found this form gave me the security to write through my feelings and my pain.” Colleen Millsteed
Is it the placebo effect?
“ I take a glass of water and open some instrumental playlist. Sometimes real music sometimes just ambient sounds (rain, campfire…) or some “sounds to focus” I believe the latter one is a placebo but it seems to be working.” Yalım
Between the morning's editing and the evening's writing
“My rituals are simple. I like to edit in the morning and write in the afternoon and evening, with plenty of music in the background.” Peter Sassi
Never-ending Journey
“ Writing helps me to keep learning. I can’t imagine a writer not becoming smarter over time. The things you can learn from developing an idea to finding support for the idea are never-ending. I’ve had ideas splinter into two and three different ideas. That’s because of the never-ending supply of information you can stumble onto.” Jason Morton
The secret is in the jazz!
“ I often listen to jazz when I need to focus." Melissa Gray
The miracle of connecting dots!
I take out a blank sheet of Google Docs and start scribbling whatever I feel, in some sense or form my dots connect. Kallol Mazumdar
Helping others is the secret
“ I love to write articles that help people. I love getting to know the writers on Medium. I have so met so many different types of people from around the world, and I find that stimulating.” Pamela Oglesby
An academic writer under the sky of Medium
“ I’m an academic writer primarily and have published everywhere, from Sage Publications, Routledge, Taylor and Francis, Huffington Post, Parenting Magazine, LA Weekly Reader, and a few others. It takes about 16 months to get an academic article published in a reputable publication. Then there are the back-and-forth editorial revisions.” Mary Louisa Cappelli
A Treasure of Stories
“ I have an inventory of stories and events in my life, so I don’t fear writing blockage that much. "Also, I developed an interesting approach to keeping on coming up with new ideas for new articles.” Subhi Najar
I am so grateful to all those who joined or read the prompt.
If you are interested in joining such “deep dives,” please add a comment, and I am more than happy to add you.
