An Overview of Cloud-Based Gaming Services
From Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Sony, and more

An Introduction to Cloud Gaming
I wrote about Cloud Gaming before. If you missed that story, here is the link: Cloud Gaming Will Soon Be Easier to Access Than Regular Gaming.
I also introduced a device by Logitech. The story is titled Logitech’s New Handheld Cloud Gaming Device Officially Announced.
In this post, I introduce Cloud-based gaming services.
Cloud gaming is a technology that allows users to play video games on a device by streaming them over the internet from a remote server rather than running them locally on the device.
Cloud gaming services typically offer a wide range of games that can be played on various devices, including TVs, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Cloud gaming brings numerous benefits to gamers.
Access to a wide range of games: Cloud gaming services often offer a large library of games that can be played on demand without the need to purchase or download them individually.
Compatibility with a wide range of devices: Cloud gaming services can be accessed on many devices, including those that may not have the hardware or software capabilities to run certain games natively.
Low hardware requirements: Because games are streamed from a remote server, cloud gaming services can often be used on devices with lower hardware specifications, such as laptops or tablets.
Convenience: Cloud gaming services allow users to access games from any location with an internet connection without the need to carry around physical copies of games or dedicated gaming hardware.
Some examples of cloud gaming services include Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, Project xCloud, PlayStation Now, and Shadow. These services offer a range of features and subscription plans, and they typically require a stable internet connection and a compatible device to use.
1 — Google Stadia
Google Stadia is a cloud gaming service developed by Google that allows users to stream many games to various devices, including TVs, laptops, and smartphones.

It offers a range of subscription plans and allows users to access a library of games through a subscription.
It is designed to work with Xbox controllers and other compatible controllers on various platforms.
4 — PlayStation Now
PlayStation Now is a cloud gaming service developed by Sony that allows users to stream a wide range of PlayStation games to various devices, including TVs, laptops, and PlayStation consoles.
It offers a range of subscription plans and allows users to access a library of games through a subscription.
PlayStation Now is designed to work with PlayStation controllers and other compatible controllers.
5 — Shadow
Shadow is a cloud gaming service that allows users to stream games to various devices, including TVs, laptops, and smartphones.
It offers a range of subscription plans and allows users to access a library of games through a subscription. Shadow is designed for users who want to play demanding games on devices that may not be powerful enough to run them natively.
It offers a high-performance gaming experience. It is compatible with a wide range of controllers and can be accessed through a Shadow app or through a compatible device.
Shadow is a cloud gaming service that Blade Group, a French technology company, owns. The company was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Paris, France.
Shadow offers a cloud-based gaming platform that allows users to access high-performance gaming on various devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets, and smartphones.
With Shadow, users can play games with high-quality graphics and smooth performance without needing powerful hardware or expensive upfront costs. The service is subscription-based, with different plans available to suit the needs of different users.
