Lies, perspective and truth
3 Steps to Change the Lies Inside Your Head
Once you’ve been given the wisdom, you can discern what’s true and what are complete lies born out of fear

1. Identify The Lies
Lies are always changing. Today it’s one story. Your mind tells you the reason you couldn’t keep any of your past lovers is because you were overly emotional and you ruined everything. Tomorrow it’s a different story. The mind tells you it didn’t work out because they were all jerks anyway.
Lies change every day, but the truth never changes.
The truth doesn’t depend on who you are or what you’ve done. It doesn’t depend on the past or the future. It doesn’t depend on what people think about you. It doesn’t even depend on who your mind thinks you are. The truth depends on who God says you are.
Humans are always evolving and there will always be something to change, heal or develop, but how God sees you and the things he’s said about you doesn’t change. It doesn’t change because he never changes. He is the truth, and that’s the truth.
The enemy is very smart and shouldn’t be underestimated. He watches from a distance and learns how to attack you. He knows your weaknesses and will use them against you.
If you know the things God says about you, the enemy can never lie to you.
If you know God loves you, you can tell the enemy “shame on you” when he tries to make you believe God doesn’t love you because of the things you’ve done.
Sometimes the enemy has nothing to do with the lies. We lie to ourselves because we don’t know who we are.
The ego is vicious. It wants to keep you from getting hurt, and it’ll do everything to keep you away from situations in which you may get hurt. But you can’t live your life in fear and that’s why you must root your identity in the truth.
When your mind tries to tell you that you need to change who you are so others can love you, you can scoff and say, “you are perfect just the way you are.”
You have to declare scripture-based truths over your life. God says, “Fear not” 365 times in the Bible. There’s a “fear not” for every day of the year. God said it that many times, so fear not! Step out boldly and don’t believe the lies.
When you declare truths over your life, you begin to see yourself the way God sees you. When you see yourself the way God sees you, no one can lie to you or make you feel as if something is wrong with you.
When you declare truths over your life, you begin to see yourself the way God sees you.
2. Shift Your Perspective
For every lie, there is a truth that can replace it.
If you can be honest with yourself, you can identify all the lies you tell yourself so you can overcome the blockages.
I sometimes tell myself my soul didn’t make a better agreement for me prior to coming here, and that’s why life is so hard. I tell myself I must have been rushing to come here, that maybe I didn't read the fine print. How could I do this to myself? How could I agree to come to a life where there’s never any help and I just can't fit in? Maybe I didn't know what I was signing up for.
But that’s a lie! It’s a false narrative.
It’s a false narrative that my mind created to make sense of why life is just so fucking hard. It’s a coping mechanism. The ego likes to feel like a victim. Like something unfair is happening to it.
I had to snap out of that thinking because that’s not true at all.
My soul is brilliant and planned just what I needed to go through in this lifetime to grow. I chose the hardships and the difficulties. I chose them because I knew they would make me stronger. I chose the pain and every heartbreak because I knew pain leads a person to find their purpose the fastest.
Everything I’m experiencing is just what my soul needs to evolve.
You gotta do the same for yourself.
You have to snap out of that thinking because they’re all lies. You know what thinking I’m talking about. That you’re not good enough, worthy, pretty, badass, confident, lovable, sexy, rich, etc.
Snap out of it!
They're all false narratives the ego uses as a coping mechanism. When it thinks those thoughts, it thinks it's doing something to help the situation, but it doesn’t.
You need to move your ego into the backseat to watch your back and bring the soul to the driver's seat to lead you where you're supposed to go.
You know what your false narratives are.
Think about your false narratives, and this time, ask God to give you the wisdom so you can see what are lies and what the truth is. Whatever you ask, if you believe it, you will receive.
If you can be honest with yourself, you can identify all the lies you tell yourself so you can overcome the blockages.
3. Declare The Truth
Once you’ve been given the wisdom and you can now discern what’s true and what are complete lies born out of fear, you can cross out all the lies and reinforce the truth.
If the lie says you’re not worthy, cross it out quickly and say you are a child of God and, therefore, co-heir with Christ! You’re more than worthy.
If the lie says no one will ever love you, laugh out loud at that silly thought and say it doesn’t matter because you love your own damn self!
And best of all? The creator of heaven and earth loves you!
Flip through scripture, find some God-breathed truths and declare them over your life. You gotta do it daily. You have to turn those truths into affirmations.
Every time rebellious thoughts won’t get out of your head, kick it out with the truth. Here are what some potential declarations/affirmations from scripture may look like:
The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.
I am a child of God. What have I got to fear?
I take pride in my pain because it’s leading me to my purpose.
It’s okay if I’m suffering a little. Christ suffered a lot for me.
I am loved and so I love others.
Nothing can separate me from God’s love.
I will seek first the Kingdom of God and everything I need will be added on.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding.
When I’m weak, God is strong.
I am not ashamed of God. I’m nothing without him!
As you create your list of affirmations, keep in mind that when God looks at you, he sees his child. And if God — who is the truth — says something about you, then it must be true. That’s why you must live your life with confidence knowing exactly who you are and what are just big fat lies!
