Get them out so you can rise above and look at them

Sometimes you can't control your thoughts because there's too much going on in your world and other times you can't control your thoughts because they don't belong to you. Regardless of the reason you're battling your thoughts, they’re going to keep coming until you turn them into something.

When you feel attacked and overcome by painful, intrusive, annoying, triggering thoughts that you didn’t invite, the easiest way to let them pass is through you. The trick is to get them out and lay them out in the open so you can rise above and look at them from a different angle. When they are out in the open, you can observe them for what they are and then decide what to do with them, whether to preserve or discard them.

There are many ways to preserve your thoughts. Your life is a story and your thoughts help you write it. When your thoughts have become things — words — in front of you, you can turn them into stories. Writing and speaking are powerful ways to rise above thoughts and look at them clearly.

The easiest way to let thoughts pass through is to get them out and lay them out in the open.

If a thought is in your head, then a thing is in your mind and the thing needs your attention. Unless the thought doesn't belong to you, your thoughts are prompts to address an issue in your subconscious mind.

When you've addressed the things lingering in your subconscious and your mind is cleared, then you can focus on turning thoughts into valuable things like a book, a podcast, an article, a song, a movie, a tweet, or a text message shared it with a friend. Thoughts are powerful things and you have the power over the things you create. You can channel thoughts into works of art that inspire you and anyone that comes in contact with it.

You can’t turn thoughts into things? Then turn them into trash and discard or recycle them. Turn negative thoughts around into positive things. When it's impossible to discard useless thoughts, then you must prepare yourself for battle, because your thoughts may be trying to hold you captive. Useless and meaningless thoughts that make you uncomfortable may be a sign that you are under attack by thoughts that may or may not be yours. Become aware of this and capture those rebellious thoughts, and teach them to obey you. Remind the thoughts inside your head who is the master.

Don’t entertain destructive thoughts. Don’t sit around with stubborn thoughts running berserk inside your head, wreaking havoc and creating a big mess. Command them to remain still. Demand they tell you what it is they need you to know and if you find them useless, point to the exit and show them the way out.

When you feel crippled by your thoughts and the thoughts are too painful to bear, don't fear, for pain is only there to show you something. Stick with it and learn what you need to learn before allowing those thoughts to exit. You kick them out too soon and they leave with all the wisdom they brought with them.

Thoughts are powerful things and you have the power over the things you create.

Magic arises out of your pain, so talk about it and get them out. No one to talk to? Good. Talk to God to search your mind and reveal to you what's not quite right. Talk to your higher self to help you figure out what your thoughts are trying to tell you. Set your mind on things above, for the things on earth are sure to bring you down.

As you observe and understand your thoughts, pray to be transformed with the renewal of your mind so you can discern which thoughts are yours and which aren’t. Pray to be able to tell which thoughts to entertain and which thoughts to cast out.

When you don't even know what your thoughts mean or why they’re there, then look to the spirit that lives within you. For who knows a person’s thoughts better than the spirit that lives inside of him?

Set your mind on things above, for the things on earth are sure to bring you down.
