I Wish You Pain

I know that’s an unusual thing to say

Suffering is a choice. (Photo: Pixabay)

I hope you feel so invisible you wonder if you’re real. I hope you keep trying and trying, but still don’t see results. I hope you make so many mistakes; you wonder if you’re deserving.

I hope they break your heart so bad; you wonder if it works. I hope you cry all night, that the tears wet your pillow. I hope you feel so alone you wonder if anybody cares.

I hope you lose it all, including your mind. I hope every day feels so gloomy; you don’t want to wake. I hope you get tired of trying; you don’t see the point.

I hope you feel so stagnant; it feels you’re in a void. I hope you feel forgotten you wonder if you matter. I hope they make you feel so humiliated you wish you’d go back and change the past.

I hope your fear is as long as your spine; it takes up all the space. I hope you pray and pray, but God never answers. I hope you feel so overwhelmed; you feel like giving up.

I hope you’re ridiculed for the weird things you believe in. I hope they laugh at you for being so different. I hope you feel like running away because you don’t belong.

I hope they don’t take your side and you stand all alone. I hope they reject you after you worked so hard. I hope you don’t get help and you figure it all out on your own.

I hope those you love don't love you back, you feel unworthy. I hope they betray and leave you when they promised they’d stay. I hope you’re reminded of your mistakes every time you breathe

I wish you pain.

I wish you pain because I want you to grow. You grow every time you fall apart. Pain isn't useless. Pain brings lessons, growth, love, and understanding.

I’m grateful for how much I’ve grown through the pain I’ve felt.

I know when you’re in the thick of pain, it’s hard to see it, but once you’re through it, it becomes crystal clear. Pain is a blessing, but suffering is a choice. I wish you pain.
