25 Gigantic Active Medium Writers With Over 20,000 Followers

Including profile descriptions, followers, Twitter, top writer categories, membership time and featured articles

Photo by JOSHUA COLEMAN on Unsplash

This is a followup to a previous post about some of the biggest writers on Medium:

I like making lists when I’m working on a subject. Lately, that subject has been trying to improve my writing and becoming more successful on Medium.

I also love to be helpful — and luckily Medium gives me a platform to do that.

I’ve spent a decent amount of time ‘collecting’ 25 more large Medium writers out there. I do this to find new stories to read, more knowledge to learn, and more advice to gain.

If you have similar interests, then please enjoy the following list! Don’t forget to follow them on Twitter too! (And me too, if you’d like).

Some quick notes before getting started

  1. It’s in alphabetical order, because, why not?
  2. Each section includes the author’s name, link, profile description, followers, Twitter account, top writer categories, when they joined the Medium program, and their current featured article.
  3. The Medium Member Since section refers to when they became a member of the Medium subscription plan. They may have been writing on here much longer.
  4. All accounts have posted within the last month

Some quick stats for the fun of it

  • The most followers of any account in this list is 200,000, following Julie Zhuo
  • There’s a clear winner for having the most Top Writer categories: Niklas Göke — with 11 in total. So many it requires 3 hands to count to, great job Niklas.
  • Most authors are paying members of the Medium subscription plan, but not all.
  • The vast majority of the writers use their own face (presumably) as the profile picture.
  • Tonnes of them have Twitter!
  • The most common year that people joined the program was 2017 (the same as the previous list).

Buckle up and strap in, here’s 25 huge authors on Medium!
