I believe that small intentional changes can lead to big results so this month I created a list of 10 activities to elevate and improve your life. This list is as much for me as it is for anyone who is reading it.

I hope you find something that resonates. There are a few things on the list that I’m working on or working toward attaining.

Elevating our lives and growing as people are lifelong journeys and effort we need to out every day. Progress may be slow but believe me you are building a life long habits.

1) Get Outside

You probably seriously underestimate how important this is. Being in nature reduces stress, makes you more creative, improves your memory and may even make you a better person. Go for a run or a walk.

Go out, feel with fresh air and I am sure it will unblock your creative side.

2) Move your body- Exercise

We all know how important this is, but few people do it consistently. It doesn’t mean you need to spend hours in gym. 15–30 minutes everyday will do all the work.

It can be anything- dancing, cardio, strength training or yoga. Add in your day and 1% change everyday will help you to live a healthy and sustainable life.

3) Spend time with friends and family

I know with ongoing pandemic, social life seems take a turn. But you still can connect with friends virtually, do a video call with your friends, family.

Make new friends or re-connect with old friends. All of these make instantly boost your mood and brighten your day.

4) Practice Gratitude

Practicing gratitude has many scientifically backed benefits. You can start writing three things you are grateful for. It will:

  • Make you happier.
  • Improve your relationships.
  • Make you a better person.

5) Learn Meditation — Guided or Silent

You don’t need to be religious to do meditation.

Meditation can increase happiness, meaning in life, social support and attention span while reducing anger, anxiety, depression and fatigue.

6) Get a good night sleep

For a healthy body and mind, you need 7–8 hours of sound sleep. It can help you boost your mental health, energy and can make you more productive though out your day,

7) Challenge Yourself

To keep your mind and brain sharp, challenge yourself time to time, reshuffle your routines and make changes in your lifestyle.

It can help you try our new different things also will let you experience various things around you.

You will never know what can spark your creativity.

8) Laugh a Little

Sometimes we forget to laugh or even smile. Did you ever observe how many times in a day you genuinely smiled or laughed.

Let’s make a habit to enjoy small things that has all the power to bring joy and happiness in your life.

Either it’s a Thank You note from your colleague or your partner appreciating you making lunch or one of your friend called you to check up on you.

9) Eat Well

Enough nutrition in your body can help you concentrate and do a focus work. don’t deprive your body with hunger.

Instead eat in every few hours.

Increase proteins intake, avoid drinking coffee n empty stomach and hydrate your body with water.

10) Be Optimistic

Optimism can make you healthier, happier and extend your life. failures, roadblocks, negativity or some people your work it’s inevitable.

what you can do is how you are responding to such events. I know one negative emotion or comment can ruined many day and nights. But learn to ignore a little bit and take things with pitch of salt.

Whatever the situation is you know yourself better and can train yourself to do what you do best and have an open mind.

You are doing this for yourself. Always remember, you can concur a mountain with small steps and it is never too late to have a “first” day.
