What we do in our life has so much power in our tasks. Whether it’s how we communicate with each other, how we deal with work, what and how we think, what we buy, everything that you possible can do in your day.
Your habits has every bit of power to make you on who you are.
My strength is focus and consistency. I am a person who thrives on plans, to do’s and sticking to similar patterns for a very long time. I think I like to keep things under control that’s why perhaps.
The morning routine I have been following it for last 2 years, ofcourse there are a few changes here and there but most things are same.
This defines why
- I eat healthy-ish mostly.
- Publish interesting content in a month on various platforms while maintaining my high demanding and time consuming job.
- To be extra nice and help people.
This, is why you need micro habits that will not impact your life drastically while learning to be more consistence with positive and healthy habits.
Small changes that make you a better human being.
I’m sure that you’ve heard the expression: Old habits die hard.
We’re focused on how to be our best selves and be happier. That means getting healthier, being kinder to ourselves, and getting sh*t done (because we deserve to have it all). The good news is that it is within your power to make the decision to change your life.
Tiny changes and its compounding effect can lead to positive behaviors that can work together to have a great impact on your life.
These 21 insanely easy, good habits just might.
1. Find a hobby you enjoy outside work.
It could be anything reading, writing, start a side project, walking, running etc.
2. Take adequate breaks between your work.
3. Exercise even for 15 mins.
Add some stretching moves or just go for a walk outside to nearest park.
4. Read 10 pages of non fiction or self help books every day.
It will improve your knowledge and focus.
5. Remove distractions and your phone, device notifications for couple of hours every day.
6. Drink plenty of water everyday.
Try to keep a goal for at least 2L water intake.
7. Reshuffle your daily routine once in a while so that your brain can react to new changes.
8. Learn to listen actively. I still get distracted very quickly to try to juggle with multiple tasks at the same time
9. Blast your favorite music/playlist in morning.
It will pump happy hormones instantly.
10. Learn guided or silent meditation.
Try to 2–3 minutes to sit with your thoughts.
11. Learn from people who are smarter than you.
Stalk the hell out of them. There is nothing bad being a crazy stalker and follow people who are your role model or want to learn from them.
12. Make your bed every day. It can make you feel accomplished within seconds
13. Clean your workstation when you are done with your work.
It can reduce anxiety related to work.
14. Make a habit to donate some money to charity or the cause you deeply support and connect with.
It can make you insanely happy to give back to community or cause that you support
15. Put your phone on Do not Disturb before you sleep.
It reduces distractions in the morning and saves your battery.
16. Write down your Goals as much as detailed you can get
17. Retrospect your goals and reflect back time to time.
May be monthly, quarterly that works best for you.
18. Buy less stuff online specially when you are impulsive shopper like me.
I am a victim of this. Whenever I see promotions or sales I jump immediately and buy the things when I don’t even need them.
Unsubscribe from unnecessary email promotions to reduce the temptation.
19. Flirt with yourself
Love the way you are. Stop critizinging your own body, or they way you look. Add time to add self affirmations and surround people who makes you feel good about yourself.
20. Take deep breaths
When you take deep breaths, you heart gets sufficient oxygen. if you take 10 deep breaths you will feel better and less stressed out. It will help you to let go of any negative feelings you might have.
21. Power of compounding not only restricted to health and fitness but also to create wealth.
Start an investment account to save money for future.
Lastly,
It’s never too late to pick up a habit, and it doesn’t have to be at the beginning of the year or monday or tomorrow only. Anytime is a great time, because it’s a step forward to a better you and towards a better life.
A more wholesome form of you.
And you don’t have to start all, even one is better than none.
