Last Sunday was a perfect afternoon despite the rain pouring down later. The verdant, lush greenery and flowers outside the windows complement our chatter as I enjoyed afternoon tea with my dear friends.

Every moment was one to treasure.

Between sips of tea or a bite of a scone, we caught up on each other’s news. If I could stop time and stay in those moments, I would relish them with all my heart.

One of our friends was missing, as she was still recovering from being ill. Yet her spirit carried on in the conversation. There is something special about tea that captures my soul. Perhaps it is slowing down to let it brew like our lives can pause while enjoying an afternoon together.

Through sharing our triumphs, dreams, and even low points, we can grow as one.

Each moment in our lives is precious. Let us capture it with an image in the camera of our minds. Whenever we need a boost of joy, those memories come to us and lift our hearts.

Dear Lovely Readers and Writers,

My sincere apologies for the very late newsletter. These past two weeks have been full of joyful but busy transitions for our family as well as for myself.

As I work towards the goal of my own tearoom- or however the universe chooses to make it manifest-I started a new Instagram account. It is called @tristasteadreams. There I post my new tea treats and creations.

It is an opportunity to expand my world and create a universe of joy.

My hope for you today is the same. Always expand your horizons in the direction of your dreams. Every day my heart opens to bigger possibilities as I step out into the great unknown.

I am deeply grateful for my community of friends on Medium to share in the joy and excitement around every corner.
