When Is The Best Time To Reflect? Sundays.

Sundays are great for a walk in my mental park.

Sundays are beautiful. I love time to myself. And this means just keeping to myself. I might also dive into a company of books. Occasionally, I surf the web to better my craft.

I typically leave my smartphone aside to avoid checking notifications.

I withdraw to myself and process the data that is deposited throughout the week. Closing my eyes and seeing what’s there, actively think how new knowledge and experiences can be further harnessed and implemented.

For instance, reflecting upon quality headlines and how it can be anchored into my skillset.

I term this as mental pruning. Trim away the excess branches and continuously shape the potentially useful information through further processing and implementation.

It is also important to revisit the work produced for the week with fresh eyes. All blind spots can be spotted only if we are willing to shine a beam of light in that direction.

I particularly enjoy comparing what I read to what I have experienced the week before. Let me provide an example.

When I read about the sales follow-up (or any topic), I start thinking about feasibility. And when great ideas cross my path, I become excited. Infinite possibilities start appearing in front of me.

I also like to scribble my internal conversations. If we keep asking ourselves why we do this or that, we will eventually arrive at the core reason. Seeing my inked thoughts creates a long-lasting impact.

Sundays are brilliant for reflection. The World outside is quieter. The voice from within amplifies.

How does your Sunday look like?
