We are perpetually bombarded with advertising of all sorts in today’s World. Digital, physical, paper, 1s and 0s. Truthfully, is that going to make your business stand out?
As a consumer, we get to choose not to respond to advertisements of any form.
Advertising is just one aspect of Marketing. This publication aims to bring awareness to the other aspects, where Marketing serves its purpose of Branding awareness, effective content storytelling and great copy.
The purpose of this article is to explain submission procedures and types of topics that we accept for publication.

Topics We Are Looking For.
J29Creative is a community of enthusiastic practitioners of Marketing who believe in peer-to-peer learning.
We aspire to publish unique, high-quality articles focusing on the following:
- Digital marketing,
- Social media marketing,
- Entrepreneurship,
- Creativity,
- Content storytelling,
- Copywriting,
- And possibly everything in between.
We’re looking for content contributed by industry and individual practitioners for the benefit of everyone else. As such, thoughtful articles covering the above topics in terms of unique perspectives, practitioner insights, effective implementation with great results will be favoured.
Submission Rules.
First and foremost, all stories are owned by the contributors.
J29Creative publication space do not claim ownership of the articles published with us. That said, we seek to present the best articles to our readers therefore we will initiate editorial necessities to ensure best readership experience.
In the event that re-writes are proposed, contributors will receive private notes on the draft-copy prior to re-submission.
And this is about goal alignment. Less work for the editors means faster article publication. Makes sense?
The above is the most important submission rule, followed by a string of necessary ones.
Rule 1: Medium House Rules.
J29Creative Publication sits on Medium’s platform. Therefore, all Medium’s House Rules apply within this publication.
Submissions have to comply with Medium’s Rules, Ad-Free Policy, Content Guidelines, and Curation Guidelines. Stories violating Medium’s rules will be reported.
Rule 2: Content Re-Distribution.
We do not recommend articles to be published across multiple publications within Medium.
We seek unique articles within this publication as it guarantees readership exposure per article read. Please ensure that submissions are original and unpublished previously within this publication, across other publications and of individual capacity.
Stories may be subsequently published to your personal blog, LinkedIn, or another publication outside of Medium only after being published here.
As a matter of preference, we strongly recommend locked content. Stories held behind Medium’s paywall ensures review by Medium’s curators for broader potential distribution. Stories behind the paywall increases the potential for writers to receive compensation via Medium’s Partner Program.
Rule 3: Stories-of-Relevance.

Rule 4: Censorship-Free Stories.
We reserve the right to reject stories that are deemed offensive, inappropriate for genuine readers and politically divisive.
Rule 5: Advertisement-Free Stories.
We do not publish stories whose primary intent is to sell, promote products and services of any nature.
We aim for J29Creative publication to be a space for exchange of ideas from thoughtful individuals, between writers and readers, practitioners and beginners.
Rule 6: Call-To-Actions.
Submissions must be free of most calls to action (CTA). A call to action is a request and / or a nudge for reader to do something. Requests and nudges ought to be relevant to the story contributed, reasonable, short, and not for capture of user information directly within the story.
Direct selling of products and services is a no-no.
Invitation to receive newsletter subscriptions is acceptable while having a hyperlink that directs to a sign-up form or sorts is not.
Any contributions requesting claps, deliberate slow reading through to the end, or asking for payment via payment platforms (PayPal, Transferwise, Stripe and etc.) will be rejected. Additionally, please abstain from excessive social media requests for connections.
Length of Story.
We do not dictate word count or estimated time to read. This is a publication for marketing and great storytelling comes in long and short forms. To us, this is a brilliant test of our copywriting.
It takes a different skill-set to captivate our audience with 1 minute reads and to wow our reader with a 5 minute hero’s story.
From that perspective, we welcome story submissions of all length.

Your application will be accepted via an organic response of a reply or a clap from myself or Kevin Kwok.
Please take note that prior to entry application, you need to have at least one published article on Medium.
