Weekly Prompts June 4–10, 2022

Your weekly dose of writing prompts

Photo by Markus Winkler on Unsplash

Hello again, everyone, and welcome to the first full week of June. I apologize for this being a bit late, but it’s been a crazy week. I won’t lie, it took me longer than I’d imagined to come up with a new list this month. If you’ve been following the weekly prompts, you know that I like to change it up a bit each month. Sometimes, that’s not as easy as it sounds.

This month, I’ve added three new categories and brought back three from previous months. Our new ones are:

This Or That? I’ll give you a scenario and two different outcomes. A Mighty Battle Create a battle scene between these two warring factions. Sensing the Story I’ll give you the five senses, you get to decide how to use them in your piece.

I’m also bringing back:

In the Beginning This will be the first line of your story. From the Memory Books A chance for you to share a little bit of yourself with your fellow writers/readers Time and Place I’ll give you the time and place in which to set your story

I want to say thank you to everyone who has taken one or more of our prompts and created something from them. You’ve all made me so proud. I might be a bit late with the posts, but it’s because I want to give you my absolute best ideas to write from.

So, let’s get on with it. My dear friends, I give you this week’s writing prompts. Have fun and get creative.
