Mid-Week Micro Madness #11

A Deliciousness Prompt

Hello, me lovelies! It is that time of the week once again. Time for a little Micro Madness! Little nibbles of poetry, fiction or essays. Remember — All Deliciousness prompts are about FOOD! However, your stories do not necessarily have to be food-related. Use the prompt as creatively and/or cleverly as you wish! This week, we are venturing South of the Border for a little Mexican delight!

The Challenge

  1. Write a piece of micro-fiction (100-word story), a micro-poem (haiku, senryu, tanka, or cinquain) or a short form essay (under 150 words) using the prompt.
  2. Tags to use — ‘Fiction’ and ‘100words’ for Fiction; ‘Poetry’ and ‘Haiku’, ‘Senryu’, ‘Tanka’ or ‘Cinquain’ for Poetry; ‘Short Form’ and ‘Essay’ for the Short Form essay.
  3. Each piece must have a Title, Subtitle, and a correctly cited Image.
  4. If you are writing a Short Form essay, remember to BOLD the first line.
  5. You may submit your Micro piece anywhere that accepts prompts from other publications. If you do choose to submit it anywhere besides PW, mention me (@ravynehawke) and leave a link to this prompt so that I can find it, read, clap and comment.

The Prompt

Salsa

Enjoy and go forth — promptly writing!
