Drabble STORY ARC #2: Seek and Avenge
Trusting Your Instincts
A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ tale
This is a ‘choose your own’ fiction story, “drabble edition”. You can find chapter 1 of this story here: The Burned Village. Or check out the previous chapter: ‘Sneaking Into Confusion’ by me.
Trusting your instincts, you race to the left, following a curving tunnel.
There is an ominous splashing behind! You break into a run.
Ahead is a familiar glow; you recognise an entrance as the room where you left Scruff. You skid to a halt then burst inside, turning with axe raised.
You do so just in time. The wolf-beast looms up at the entrance, and you slash out. It’s incredibly tough, and almost ten feet tall.
You slash again, but it thumps you in the chest, and you are knocked to the back wall, winded.
You grit your teeth.
And next you…
- Go all in — hack the beast to death with your axe! (Click here).
- Circle the creature, looking for an opening to do some damage (click here).
