You dart forward, sliding onto your knees, and crash into the beast’s shins as it lunges forward.

It trips, and stumbles into the wall, smashing its face hard.

You rise fast, and flee into the tunnels. This time, Scruff is at your heels, panting and letting out the occasional terrified yap.

Fortunately, the way ahead to where you entered this maze is almost in a straight line, and you clamber back through the gap you made.

Soon, you find yourself back at the entrance, staring at the same dead orc that you previously spotted near the outflow of the sewers.
