If you read my stories, you may know that I upload my income report at the end of every month. I don’t keep it a secret even if I earn more or less. I always try to show transparency in my Medium earnings. I try to be transparent because I know this is the story that you have been waiting for.

So today, I will explain how much money I made on Medium in January.

January was the month that helped me start many different challenges. Like writing 8 hours a day for the whole month, writing five stories in a single day, and writing an article every day. And luckily, I completed them all with a 100% success rate.

I wrote for 8 hours every day to achieve something that I expected. But unfortunately, I failed to achieve what I wanted.

My views and earnings were very stable this month. But I wanted to achieve more. My story views doubled in January, but my earnings were the same.

I used to get less than 50 views every day. But in January, I got almost 100 views every day. But here’s the problem, I used to get one dollar or a little bit more than that for 50 views. But in January, I was still getting that for almost 100 views. This means my views increased, but my earnings are the same.

So, let’s see how was my stats this month;

My stats in January

  • In January, I wanted to get 5,000 views. I wanted it with a read ratio of more than 35%. But I got 2,568 views with 1,002 reads. Which is almost a read ratio of 40%. And I am so happy to have a read ratio like that.
  • In January, I wanted to complete 400 followers but ends up completing 360 followers. I gained 84 new followers with 3 email subscribers and no referral members.
  • In January, I wanted to gain 500 fans but unfortunately got almost half of it. I got only 275 fans. But it doesn’t matter, I will try hard in February.
  • Now, let’s get into the earnings. In January, I wanted to earn more than $50 but ended up getting only $30.19. I am happy because it’s my third most earning month. But I am sad because I worked so much this month. But it’s OK, I can’t do anything with it. I will try to achieve $50 in February.

As you saw, January was a good as well as a bad month for me. But I will take the positivity and leave the negativity behind. I will try to achieve everything in February that I failed to get in January. I will come back stronger in February.

My top five earning stories

  1. An Easy Trick for New Writers To Get At least 10 to 15 Extra Views Per Day
  2. I Am Easily Getting 15 to 20 Views a Day From a Single Story by Just Pinning It
  3. Why Most of My Stories Haven’t Made Any Money in December
  4. I Would Have Been Earning $500 a Month but I Wasted One Year Online
  5. How Much of a Drop Can You Expect When You Don’t Write for Two Months

Two of my top five most earning stories are old stories, while three are the stories that I wrote in January. I am happy because all my stories contributed to my monthly earnings.

I am also surprised to see that my top story is the story that went viral three months ago. It was the story that got the top-earning position for three consecutive months. But now, it’s not a top earner for three consecutive months. Although, it’s a top earner for four consecutive months.
