The Fortnite OG Map Is Here With Weekly Changes
Here’s how the one-month-long OG Fortnite season will work.

I’ve chatted about all kinds of Fortnite stuff in my past posts, and I’ll hook you up with links to those at the end of this one.
But today, I’m gonna spill the beans about the newest Fortnite season that’s bringing back the classic OG Fortnite map for a whole month.
Alright, so, after what feels like eons of wishing and hoping, the dream of countless Fortnite fanatics has come true. That’s right, folks, the OG Chapter 1 map is back in action! It’s like a blast from the past mixed with a breath of fresh air.
The game’s officially gone retro with the launch of Chapter 4 Season 5, aka Fortnite OG. And guess what? It’s not just a one-time thing; this season’s gonna be running for a whole month, throwing in some major curveballs every week. Get ready to dive into the nostalgia!
So, let’s break it down for you. The OG Chapter 1 map is making a grand return, but it’s on a time crunch. This season is like a sprint, and each week is gonna have its own hotfixes, which are basically updates that won’t make you wait for a tedious download. They will flip the island on its head every week for the next month. Can you believe it?
Now, here’s the part that’ll make your head spin — the island’s gonna shape-shift like crazy. Starting on November 9, it’s gonna take on the look of the Chapter 1 Season 6 map. The following week, it’s gonna be a wild mash-up of Seasons 7 and 8 from the OG days.
And for the grand finale, in the last week of the season, the island’s gonna be a blast from the past, resembling what you might’ve seen in Chapter 1 Seasons 9 and 10, or as they used to call it, Chapter X.
It’s kinda hard to talk about all the map changes in detail since they’re as fleeting as a shooting star. You blink, and it’s different! But hey, that’s what makes it exciting, right?
One of the most jaw-dropping changes is the number of hotspots on the island. In the OG Chapter 1 map, there were a whopping 18 Places of Interest (POIs) scattered across two distinct biomes, the lush grassy areas, and the scorching deserts. And guess what? They’re back, baby! You’ll revisit iconic spots like Tilted Towers, Greasy Grove, and Retail Row.
But here’s where things get extra spicy. As the season unfolds and those weekly changes do their magic, new POIs and biomes are gonna burst onto the scene faster than you can say “Victory Royale.” Week 3 (November 16 hotfix) is bringing in a frosty snow biome, and Week 4 (November 23) is gifting us jetpacks for some high-flying action.
And for all you Zero Build champs out there, Epic Games has got your back. They’ve tweaked the island to make it more Zero Build-friendly, considering this mode didn’t exist back in Chapter 1.
Now, you’ll find handy tools like ascenders and ziplines to help you move around without relying on building. It’s a game-changer, especially in those areas that used to be a headache to reach without some quick building skills.
While the island may feel like a trip down memory lane, Epic Games has made some tweaks here and there to make it jive with the modern Fortnite vibes. They’ve kept all the cool features like sprinting, sliding, and mantling, so you can keep the action flowing just like you remember.
Final Words
So, if you’re itching to get in on the Fortnite OG action, don’t wait around.
Jump in today, and brace yourself for the map makeover madness.
The weapon and loot pool changes are gonna be dropping fast and furious, and you won’t wanna miss a beat.
It’s gonna be a wild ride, my friends!
