The Original Fortnite Map Is Officially Making a Return
Here’s what we know about OG Fortnite and its comeback next season.

In some of my past rambles, I’ve blabbered about all sorts of Fortnite stuff. You can check those out down below after you’ve had your fill of this post. So, what’s the scoop today? Well, I’m here to dish on everything we’ve got about the next Fortnite season, the one that’s set to revive the OG map.
Hold onto your hats because it seems like Fortnite is about to pull a “Back to the Future” on us when this season wraps up! Yup, that time machine we snagged from Kado Thorne’s basement during all those wild heists isn’t just a cool prop; it’s going to mess with the space-time continuum in Fortnite!
So, what’s the scoop on the next season of Fortnite? Well, it’s got the community buzzing for all the right reasons. We might be in for some epic collaborations, possibly with the likes of Lego and Doctor Who. Plus, get this, we could be taking a trip down memory lane to an updated version of the Chapter 1 island. Let’s break it down.
First things first, say your goodbyes to the current season. Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 4 is set to bid us farewell on Friday, November 3. And if we’re sticking to tradition, the new season should kick off after some downtime.
Now, don’t get too excited thinking it’s Chapter 5 coming up next. It might not be Chapter 4 either. The word on the street is that the upcoming season will be a shortie, rumored to last only a month. It’s like a bridge season, getting us from the Chapter 4 island to whatever wonders Chapter 5 has in store for us.
Here’s the kicker: there’s been no official word on what chapter we’re diving into. The teasers so far have referred to it simply as “Fortnite OG.” It’s like a blast from the past, and Epic Games has been stirring up nostalgia in all sorts of ways. They’ve been sending cool stuff to influencers and streamers who were OG Fortnite players, like the massive Durr Burger Ninja.
You might be wondering about gameplay teasers. Well, no official ones yet, but the rumor mill has been churning. We’ve known about the 30-day season for months, but that’s just the beginning.
Rumor has it that Fortnite OG will start on the battle royale island as it was way back in Chapter 1 Season 5. But it’s not gonna stay that way for long. Over the course of the month, it’ll transform through various other iterations from Chapter 1, spanning Season 5 to Season X.
Now, some folks thought the modern conveniences introduced in Chapter 3, like sliding, sprinting, and mantling, might be on their way out. But it seems Fortnite’s social media team squashed that rumor. So, you can still slide and sprint your way to victory!
Interestingly, the changes will be comprehensive. The loot pool will match the island’s era. So, during the Season 6 part, you’ll find Season 6 guns and gadgets, and when it’s Season 7’s turn, it’s all about those Season 7 toys. You get the drift, right?
But what about the battle pass for Fortnite OG? It’s been radio silence on that front. No whispers, leaks, or official confirmations. But hey, we’re betting our V-Bucks that it’ll drop with some remixed Chapter 1 skins. Time will tell!
