The Dancing Elephants Present You With A Christmas Gift
DEP updates and newsletter from 30thNov- 11th December 2022

Elephants are the national symbol of Thailand.
It is inspiring to see that elephants thrive there and there are special elephant sanctuaries in Thailand.
I went to the Safari World in Bangkok and I was delighted to see the dancing elephants. I thought this was apt for our newsletter too.
The elephants were not being treated harshly. They were living a life of honor in the natural surroundings and were not caged. Nor did the people have any whips in their hands. They spoke gently to the elephants and patted and fed them with love. They said that they were there to spread kindness to the elephants.
Thailand is a country with rich natural vegetation and beautiful plants and tropical flowers. It is very green and full of beautiful beaches too.
So much for the beauty of nature in Thailand.
Now the Dancing elephants are waving and wanting to say something. Let us read below.
I have some very pleasant updates for these two weeks of Dancing Elephants Press.

DEP is now continuing and having a living book with 52 prompts in the year and looks forward to your contributions to its new endeavor.
These prompts are open. Feel free to write whenever you want. We only want you to state which prompt it belongs to.
Let me now give you a review of the two weeks starting from 30th Nov-11th December 2022
Some wonderful stories from DEP
Gabriella has described the winter in Portland where she lives as harsh but without any snow. This year however it had snowed and it is continuing to snow. The flowers and trees are not yet ready. A picture can tell the story. She has clicked beautiful pictures.
Taking a break is very important to bring back your creative juices.! You must have confidence in your abilities, regardless of where you consider yourself in the big picture.
Aarti shares her experience that online friends are great supporters and sometimes you know people really well but they do not support you. She finds the Medium community very supportive. I second her.
Umme has written a beautiful story on the relationship of a rose with thorns. She has given us the lesson that to get something beautiful, we face obstacles and challenges which are the test of life. we need those experiences to shape ourselves as better people, as the rose needs its thorns to have its beauty.
We live for a reason. We are inspired by someone who gives us wisdom. Umme’s uncle felt that we live for a reason and we should make our life meaningful and live with joy.
Gabriella cited her beautiful airport experience traveling from Portland to Oregon. She usually goes early to catch her flight. She was lucky to see a photo exhibition by nature photographer Deb Stoner and then be offered food at a great discount because the food store was closing and they had surplus food with them.
A lovely holiday tradition to go for a run and enjoy the holiday season. It serves two purposes. Good health through exercise and enjoyment with the community.
Lalitha is grateful to God for sprinkling life happy events in her life during the month of December which feels like a pleasant spring rather than bitter cold winter. She enjoys celebrating Christmas with family and friends. A Christmas tree decorated with ornaments makes her feel very special.
Aarti is looking for a quiet holiday season. She does not want the pressure of social engagements. It is a choice and surely we are all welcome to make the choice as per our requirements.

Responses to the prompt

Rawson has described how he spends Christmas with his family. He and his wife love to decorate the house. Do read the post and check out his beautiful photo library. It is amazing.
I am sure you will feel happy and special reading this beautiful poem that sends love and good wishes to you on Christmas.
This Christmas, may you be blessed… With the joyful excitement for life, just as you wait for Christmas day when you feel the season’s cold breeze. With good health,
Prompt 9/52
Moments of Inspiration by Dr.Gabriella Korosi
Some articles in reponse to the prompt
Inspiration can strike from everything around you. While driving and going in nature or otherwise. Many people are inspired when they write. We should be positive towards them because we can kill inspiration by being rude. A great message. Promote creativity and happiness by inspiring writers.
Allisonn’s yoga practice inspires her. She feels connected to her body, breath, spirit, and the earth. She even feels that it takes her out of her brain, which according to her is the least inspirational part of her. My thoughts resonate with her. It is a lovely article.
Inspiration is a flashlight and it comes from anywhere around you through love and kindness. A common and poor person can inspire you to do good deeds toward others. You can learn from anyone.
Hope you enjoyed reading the updates and especially the star event of publishing the book project by DEP
