Do you like the winter?

Where I live on the Oregon Coast range in the Pacific Northwest there are years when we do not get snow at all. Sometimes surprise snow show up like in April this year. Now it is been snowing on and off the last two days which is unusual for this time of the year. The gift of snow come early.

Snow snow come my way,

Do not go,

Stay another day.

Sometimes a photograph can speak volumes. If a parsley could speak what would it say?

It might say snow , snow please go away. You are too cold and heavy for my fragile stem to stay upright.

The flowers were not ready for the snow. They got a little crushed. By the afternoon the sun come out and most of the snow melted. It was nice to enjoy the scenery for a few days until it lasted.

The winter landscape can be very relaxing and beautiful. Snow covered roads, mountains and trees provide a cozy winter feel especially from inside a warm home. There is something magical about winter. I like to sit by a fireplace with a nice warm drink and look at the beautiful landscape outside.

The combination of green and white colors look beautiful in nature. It feels like nature dressing up the evergreen trees with a nice white coated blanket of snow. The snow can look as beautiful crystal formation on the trees.
