Get Your Creative Juices Quickly and Easily Flowing Again — Here’s How to With Five Easy Tips
This could banish writer’s block for a long time.

Writing an article doesn’t just mean putting thoughts into words while typing away at the computer. First, you have to capture the interest of your readers. Then you need to give them a reason to keep reading.
The main ingredient in creating a readable article is a large dose of creativity. But you’re not ‘feeling’ it? Here are 5 easy ways to get your creative juices flowing.
To get your message across you have to get the attention of the reader and have a firm grasp of their interest, and pique their curiosity. Notice the word ‘their’. Your creative talents need to be first and foremost, for the reader. Not you.
While creativity may come naturally to many people, some just fall into a case of writer’s block, an effect that can at times drive someone crazy.
The scourge of writer’s block.
Many writers tear their hair out figuratively when they suffer from writer’s block, they just can’t seem to get any creative juices flowing. The harder they try, the more creativity eludes them.
Putting words into images in the readers’ minds is an art. A clear and crisp depiction still requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide.
Similes and metaphors can help a lot. But the way an article becomes creatively entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article worth reading is key in developing the very essence of the article.
So just what do you have to do when absolutely nothing comes to mind?
There is no surefire way to get that ‘perfect idea’. But there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing. And from that ease of flow, your next masterpiece may be born.
No one can guarantee you of having the perfect mindset but many methods can aid you in achieving a truly creative state of mind. Here are five easy tips to open the spigot of creativity and banish writer’s block.
One — Write.
Keep a diary or a journal with you always. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell.
Your senses are your radar for finding great ideas. Write all of them in a journal and keep them with you for future reference.
You may also write down anything that you have read or heard. Someone’s ideas could be used as inspiration to develop your ideas. Using those notes for inspiration is not stealing.
Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.
Someone somewhere wants to hear your take on a subject or idea, no matter how many times it has been explored. Run with it.
Two — Relax.
Relax and take some time to sort things out. A jumbled, crazy, or pressurized mind cannot create any space for new ideas.
You need a clear mind to have your creativity in full gear. Get past all of the obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.
This doesn’t mean solving all your issues before trying to write, draw, or do anything creative. It means to see things for what they are and compartmentalizes them — set them aside until you can deal with them. Worrying does not solve anything.
And a creative mind allows ideas and answers to flow in all areas of your life. Use your creativity to your advantage!
Try to relax every time that you can. Focus on relaxing. Think about your pleasurable experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected in your writings.
Through all of this try to discover yourself, and find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off.
You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow even more creatively.
Three — Create a Creative Environment.
Create a working place that can inspire your creativity. Your working place can be quite a hindrance if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed.
Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messed up workplace that causes distraction won’t be conducive to firing up your creative flow.
Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativity cranking.
I always enjoy seeing other creative’s work areas where they have small action figures or goofy objects. Even crayon drawings from the kids and grandkids. What is inspiring to you need not be inspiring to anyone else. It’s your space. It’s your creativity.
A clean and well-organized workplace also rids you of distractions and other unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and calm, and never notice the time pass by.
Four — Set The Mood.
Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce yourself into feeling what makes your mind work best.
Finding out what makes you ‘tick’ so to speak can help you find ways to easily get your creative juices flowing. Setting the backdrop, the pace, and the tempo for your mood will more easily allow everything else creative to follow.
There are many ways to set the mood. We are not referring to a romantic mood. But we are setting the mood for feeling good about ourselves, for feeling worthy, and for feeling free to express ourselves.
Some writers have been known to include alcohol, and a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some would like some mood music while others relish the silence.
Others even let the lighting of the environment create the mood. Do you work best under colored artificial lighting or the wonderful natural light of day?
Again, this is all a reason for self-discovery. That self-discovery can come before your artistic endeavor, or as many find, while you have created the space and the mood and the ideas are flowing well.
Five — Chuck it all and get crazy.
Go on a getaway and just do something crazy. Letting yourself go and having fun produces adrenaline that can make your imagination go wild.
It doesn’t need to be extreme. It just needs to be as I have said before, something to get you out of your head so you can get your head back in the game. It’s that simple.
Take an adventurous journey or a solemn hike. Go for a brisk walk around while not touching your phone unless it’s to take a moving and inspiring picture.
Pick up and play with, or once again closely examine that artifact or prop that you include in your workspace that relates to your new article or book.
Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can lift you out of your rut. You only need one little spark to reignite your creativity. For you are creative. You already possess all of this creativity and artistic endeavors inside of you.
Give yourself a break! Have confidence in your abilities, regardless of where you consider yourself in the big picture.
And stop comparing yourself to others. Be you. Be the greatest creative you that you can!
In no time at all, your creativity will bubble forth as you make use of all your experiences and settings. And once again, your imagination will go into overdrive.
I can’t wait to see your work, and what you can accomplish.
