Self-Awareness Is the Key to a Mind-Blowing Success
The real expertise comes from observing yourself.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve wondered: what makes people successful?
Are they born that way? Do they learn that skill from their parents?
Some people seem natural. Some aren’t. Is success a stroke of luck?
Success is so alluring because it represents different things to everyone. However, what successful people have in common is self-awareness.
To change anything in life, you need to change your routine.
Thinking is also your routine. By observing how you think, how you react, how you behave, you get to change how you influence your environment. Self awareness gives you the edge over creating life on your terms.
Keeping it cool.
The ability to stay calm and collected is the blueprint for handling ambiguity.
Uncertainty is the constant of our lives. But when you handle it with a peaceful mind, no adversities can throw you off.
When you respond calmly instead of reacting to life, you gain clarity and project confidence around you. People are drawn to high self-esteem. Opportunities are drawn to high self-esteem.
Think about superheroes. Batman always stays calm and collected when faced with a challenge. That gives him the edge over supervillains.
Self-awareness means managing your emotions.
When you are in a fight-or-flight response, you fail to recognize possibilities stretched out in front of you. Stress overclouds your judgement. But where there is a problem, there is always a solution at hand. Calmness helps you accomplish the solution.
Rejection is not the verdict.
With every failure, you are one step closer to success.
Seeing rejection as a redirection makes for a successful mindset.
When you are aware of your power, you don’t need everyone’s approval to follow through with your vision.
Fearing rejection and playing it safe does not make you successful. It makes you average and comfortable.
Next time, when faced with a firm ‘no’, observe your reactions. Do you feel tightness in your stomach area? Do you immediately give up on getting what you want?
We have all faced rejection. Rejection is common. Instead of running away from it, embrace it. Better yet. Change the perception of it.
Look at a firm ‘no’ as a change of course and new possibilities. As one door closes, there is always a window you can open yourself.
Successful people understand that they are creating opportunities. Instead of lingering and allowing for others to dictate the terms for their achievements, they find solutions.
Emotional awareness.
Possessions are not your destinations. Feelings are your goal.
You don’t want money. You want to feel unbounded freedom.
You don’t want a perfect figure. You want to feel attractive.
What feelings do you wish to achieve? Close your eyes. How do you want to feel right now? Is it the freedom to live life on your terms? Is it the simple joy of the present moment, unbothered by any worries?
Remind yourself what you strive for. Next, feel the emotion inside you. Become it. Keep it. Breathe it. And proceed with your day, maintaining that attitude.
When you approach your day already feeling like you have succeeded, any obstacles will turn into possibilities. Because you already feel like you have it all. Nothing can stop you.
The feeling is the secret. Become aware of how you feel in every minute of your day.
Eyes on the prize.
To achieve your goals, you need to feel limitless and satisfied. Comparison is the thief of joy.
When you keep your eyes on the prize, no distractions can throw you off. You keep persisting with your vision. You don’t get sidetracked by the achievements of others. Knowing your destination, keeps you satisfied and eager for more.
Everyone has an opinion. The wisdom lies in being selective about it. Don’t consume all the trash in the world because it will overwhelm you.
Don’t give your power of the focus away. You don’t need extra hours during the day to get things done. You need fewer distractions.

Your power lies in the now.
When you commit to your goal, you don’t allow for accepting advice that goes against your values.
Self-awareness means committing and tuning into your needs, despite the chaos in the world. Change your focus and you will get new results.
Get weirder.
We are taught that being an outsider is a terrible thing. School, family, peers want us to conform to superficial frames of societal expectations.
Truly successful people have no desire to fit in but forge their unique paths. They inspire. They motivate others. They learn from the best. Different is good. Weird is interesting.
Following the beaten path is boring. Success is anything but boring.
When you follow your intuition and make unprecedented choices, you are awake to opportunities society is blind to.
When you are surrounded by quality, not quantity, you don’t get distracted by the chaos of others. It gets quiet and peaceful. But confidence is also quiet. And with confidence, you become successful.
Living life on your terms, without hurting anyone else, is magnetic. Then everything you need comes to you.
Self-awareness means choosing authenticity above anything else.
Living low-key.
Successful people don’t brag. They inspire.
Successful people don’t beg. They create.
You don’t have to tell everyone where you are going and how you are going to get there. Everyone will eventually experience your success with their own eyes. You don’t have to be loud about it.
Self-awareness means calmness and confidence. Since you already know you are going to win, you don’t have to prove your way beforehand. Self-awareness is quiet. So is true success.
You won’t build a long-lasting success talking about it. The more you speak, the more energy you give off and the less motivation you have to persist with your dreams.
Self-awareness is a key to a simple life. It is not a luxury, but a necessity.
If you strive towards quality, observing your reactions to life will help you accomplish that.
When you commit to self-awareness, situations that used to trigger you will pop up, but they will no longer wield power over your emotions. You will no longer respond to them from the place of anger, doubt, or frustration.
You will have space and emotional intelligence to pursue your success.
